After being stroked by a fellow CF member, my car is still for sale. It currently has 3,376 miles on it, and has the following extra's: Volant CAI, 180 deg. T-Stat, and Flowmaster 2 chamber mufflers, with the suitcase & resonators removed. Also, tinted windows, within the legal state limits for here in Ga. It is a Daytona R/T with the R/T package, and all other options EXCEPT: Sunroof, Navigation, U-Connect. Please PM me for any further Info. what does the removing the suitcase & resonators do for the car and would it affect smog check in California

I forget if all these cars are equipped with Ca. emissions from the factory, but *if* they are I doubt it would be an issue. As I understand it, the Daytona exhaust is a fairly straight-thru system from the factory and the resonators are for sound control and not emissions.

i cant say for certain if all Chargers are equiped with CA emissions, but it seems like they do. So how much louder is the car without the resonators. Although it will be for me (husband), it is also a family car and I wouldnt want to it to annoy my sweet darling wife who is always telling me to lower the TV:) Any comments are loudness

Yes, that is correct Chemi, I have ALL original parts, so this car can be returned to factory condition probably in an afternoon. It is a much more aggressive sound with the Flowmaster's, and there is a very noticeable drone at approximately 2,000-2,300 rpm's. Cruising at 78-80mph the car is quiet inside, like it was with factory exhaust. Steve.

what does it sound like when you are driving in the city around 35 mph

Humey,
At those slow speeds, you don't hear the exhaust inside the car at all, however, you will actually "Feel" the exhaust through your feet, as the mufflers cause a very low frequency "Rumble". I can tell you that outside of the car, such as pedestrians on the sidewalk, hear it very well, so much so that they look around trying to see where the sound is coming from ! Steve.

I have level 2 Flowmasters and they are louder inside than outside. Especially at certain rpm (for me around 45 mph).

I'd think of taking of it off your hands for you but my wife's Grand Prix is a similar burnt orange color.

Thank's for looking everybody, car is sold. All I can say is, every one that showed interest, you missed a hell of a deal ! I do have the factory Daytona exhaust, wheels, and airbox for sale, if anyone is interested ?

All chargers should have 50 State Emissions, if I'm not mistaken. Hence why I flew to Detroit, MI to purchase my Daytona and drive it back to CA. :)
