I've got Jimmie to win this race. With all these team changes and car changes it hard to really pick a winner.

I really want Jr or Tony to win, but I'm not sure how they'll do.

It's amazing to see how much Dale Sr. still impacts the sport. Did you see DW get choked up before he even started talking about him.

The man is a legend.

LOL - did you see the idiot as Jr what he should do with his #8 tattoo?

PaCharger
02-17-2008, 01:20 PM
yeah, gonna be interesinting

If you could take Gibbs team vs. the field, or Hendricks team vs. the field...it would be a good bet..which way would you go?

The Toyota's were a step ahead yesterday.

Somehow I missed the news that Robby Gordon has switched to Dodge.

I'll be rooting for my customary underdog, John Andretti in the #34 Chevy.

In order, I'm rooting for:

#34 Andretti
#12 Newman
#7 R. Gordon

I'll be rooting AGAINST all Toyotas and all Hendrick cars...

He should have said that's why I got 88 and they are still red, lol

JR got a lil choked up during his interview too, I know he is thinking about it. I want JR to win for sure and even though I don't like smoke, I want him to win just so he'll cut the mullett, lol.

I'm a long time Mark Martin fan and even though he is only running a few races he is in the 500 and I'm pulling for him!

His old @ss still races too, lol. I only don't want him to win cuz he races for TEI, I mean DEI, lol.

I am rooting against Toyota's for sure. Like to see Harvick repeat, but he is cryin bout his car again. Seems like he is ALWAYS using the car as an excuse.

I've liked Jeff Burton for a while, but I'm not a "big-time" fan...

I see Kasey Kahne is driving a TorRed Dodge, I think I'll be rootin' for him this year! (OK, so it's "Bud-Red"... close enough! LOL)

So what do you guys think about the Car of Tomorrow (COT) they're running? I'm VERY surprised they went with a wing instead of a spoiler! I tried looking up more on it on Nascar's site, but didn't find too much... The front end looks like a vacuum cleaner, too.

He ran good in the duel Race I was there with my 5 year old girls. she loves this stuff. I will post pics later. I saw kasey work his way to the front and get sucked to the back to approx 15th then get back to 4th place. That boy has skill!!!!!!!!!!! I wished he would have pitted with the Toyotas in that race then he would have had enough tire to push jeff Gorond to first and he would have gotten second or first in the duel lol

It is going to take some getting used to, for us and the drivers, lol. The aerodynamics are very different but with only 1 car to know this year, they are looking much better, I was worried last year!

I see that... he says it's a suspension failure... I hope that doesn't become a trend with the COT. Granted, there's 30-some other cars still going strong out there!

Its a NASCAR thing, it is DW's motivation I think, just a random phrase

PlumCrazySRT8
02-17-2008, 06:15 PM
As the cars take the green flag to start each race, Waltrip shouts "Boogity Boogity Boogity!" (sometimes also including "Lets Go Racing Boys!"), is a nonsense phrase that has become his trademark in recent years. (The phrase appears in the 1960 doo wop parody "Who Put the Bomp" by Barry Mann.) The story Waltrip has told about this is that, as a driver, he got tired of hearing his spotter or crew chief say "green, green, green" at the start of every race and wanted to hear something more original

I'm glad Newman won. Hoepfully he'll have a break out year.

I'm really surprised how well Jr did. He's my driver, but I really thought he'd be at the back. Maybe getting Theresa off his back really did help him.

Those Toyotas are a force to be reckoned with.

JR did pretty well, I figured he would, I have faith in my driver, lol. The Toyotas were looking pretty good, but then again Joe Gibbs racing is def a force to be reckoned with.
