I am also curious about how to get these installed. Dealer, one of the local chain muffler shops??
I can do the easy stuff like cold air intake, but this is beyond my tool and comfort level.

My dealer installed my brother's Dynotech headers. Believe they charged $250. Did a great job...

This is a task best suited for a shop with a vehicle lift. A dealership, or exhaust shop could do the install without any problems. With a couple friends who are mechanically inclined, these could be done in the home garage with a floor jack and jack stands, but may take a good bit longer to finish. This would be what Car Craft referrs to as the "Weekend Projects", and probably on the high side of difficulty scales. Lots of skinned knuckles, some cussing, and possible wrench throwing could be seen.

Is this something I would get, then have my dealer install, or would I have to get them from my dealer for them to install?
I'm trying not to come off a total dumb ass when I contact my dealer, and this is new ground for me.
Thanks

There is no reason why you cannot purchase your headers from a different source than the installation. We have had many customers who have brought in parts they purchased elsewhere for us to install. We have also had many customer who have purchased from us only to have their dealer install them. With this being a Mopar kit, your dealer should have no issues with installing them, other than they may not be able to quote you an accurate labor time.

We are a Chrysler / Jeep dealership that has been in business over 10 years. We are part of the Hendrick Automotive group, the same people who own Hendrick Motorsports. We have been selling parts on the internet for a few years now. We pride ourselves in maintaining a low price in Mopar products, and delivering quality customer service. Our site is on a 128 bit encrypted server, and we have been fortunate not to have any problems with our orders placed online. We are here to serve you, so if you do not feel comfortable placing the order over the web site, you may call it in.

What is the benifts of the long Tube over the short tube...i see that they are more expensive than the shorts
Ted@MPSC

Although shorties are a benefit, long tube header will provide more bottem end torque. The problem with shorties, is turbulence at the collector, JBL has a very nice solution for this with their collecter center cone that seperates the 4 pipes directing exhuast gasses, downward more efficently. Long tube is the way to go, more torque, and more power is generated at the rear wheels than any comparable short style header. The major advantage is the increased open flow of exhaust gasses further down the system and coming together closer to the converters. That and these come with high flow converters, the exhaust system will breath much better. You will not dissappointed going the long tube way vs the shorties, more bang for the buck in my opinion.

Ted,
How are these headers at throwing a CEL?? This is a common issue with some long tube headers due to the high flow cats and 02 sensors not working correctly.
Has anybody actually installed these and seen if this is an issue?

Justforfun..GoDaddy & my brother both have Dynatech longs. Both had CEL trouble. GoDaddy said he reset his about 1,000 miles ago and CEL has not returned..my brother's CEL stayed on about 3 weeks and then went off itself and has stayed off for about 2 weeks now. May be that the computer has to do some relearning.

According to Mopar Performance tech line, they have only experienced 1 CEL complaint. Upon further review, they found that 1 of the converters were faulty, and that is what caused the CEL issue. Other than that one istance, they have had no complaints of CEL issues with the Mopar Long Tube Headers.
