Okay i had it....im not going to bite my tongue any longer...i have written nice write ups about these folks and their products...i have spent close to $1500 in halos and lights...(triple halo, halo fogs, rear halos,HID KIT) ....This has been a nightmare...before i get started i must say AAC did try to give good customer service by replacing inverters etc....ok heres the story i will try to make this brief..but i want folks to understand whats going on...
I made the purchase...i get the product...first week..Right side halos go out......i remove the bumber, take off the head lights and replace inverters....then....a week or two later left side goes out... and also the fog halos stop working. i find out i paid for triple kit and didnt even notice it wasnt there until then...so i have to remove bumber.....remove lights on both sides..and send back to AAC....then get it all back install and still having problems...went to dealer to find out why the halos would be dim and then after about 30mins of driving they would get bright....find out their is a electric problems...so we figure to wire each inverter to a seperate wire...but come to find out its all on the same harnesss.....things working for about two weeks....its been very cold here and i dont know if that could be the cause....but first my fog halos go out...they are very dim not bright at all.....then i take the car out the garage and the left side halo ....all three are out.....i am F*#*$*#* FED up with this JUNK i will be calling for a refund tomorrow morning ....the thought of taking off the front end again just makes me cringe.....I honestly believe this is junk or either whoever disigned and engineered thsi didnt think it out very well or test it..I was told i had the new inverters and that it would help...NOT....I will say this...my rear halos have held up so far and I LOVE THE HID kit...i hope AAC gives service when i ask for my refund....they need to stand by the stuff they sell....but fair warning to others thinking about getting this.....DONT...save yourself the headache and put the money to HIDs ......really good ones at that....you cant go wrong ......I will keep you posted on what happens....
thanks for listening....

Hmmm. I was actually very interested in the halos.
This will definitely make me think twice.
Let us know how it turns out.

For W/E it's worth, I've had no problems with mine, the heads or the tails for that matter. I also live in the Chicago area, and although I noticed when the temps were in the single digits and below zero, the heads were a little dim at first, but after about 3-5 minutes of the car warming up, so did the halo's and they were just as bright as ever.
Sorry to hear about your experiences! Taking the bumper off repeatedly would drive me bonkers too! At some point I'd probably throw up my hands and exclaim out loud "Fudge It!". Hope it works out for you.

Here is how i have things wired up.....I have the main light..which has 3 halos ...and two inverters...one inverter controls two halos and the second one controls the inner parking halo......for the inner parking halo i tapped into the inner parking lights (same harness) and then the second inverter which controls the two bigger halos..tapped into the harness thats on the headlight assym. and then the fog light halo is tapped into the side marker parking light....
My question is.......
Does anyone know if maybe these inverters pull more current then the whole harness can handle? if you think about what i described its all connected on one harness....and im starting to wonder maybe its to much....when i talked to justin at AAC the first time he said these inverters dont draw that much current....well the dealer said that theres not alot of current on the stock setup.....I just wwant the damn thing to work without any problems...i have a big car show on the 24th of this month and this is gonna be the death of me......very frustrating having to change out inverters........besides calling AAC in the morning im going to start taking off the front bumper again and try wiring in a relay and try to put a switch on it ....the reason i liked the original set up is because if i leave my lights on ...they will turn off .....i hope someone reads this and tells me that by putting on a relay would help...

********************UPDATE******************
Ok here we go....first i found multiple problems....one being that on the fog halos...they had given me the wrong inverters....secondly the two prong plug that connects the halo and the inverter was suppose to be shrink wrapped(no instructions so how would i know) and water go into it and caused it to ground out...actually it burnt up...and when all this happened it caused the other inverters to burn out or fail.....my third halo inside the headlight assym isnt working some damn brainiac put the inverter inside the sealed headlight assymbly.....go figure....so just to recap ....when you order a set a halo from AAC they install them and the inverter onto the assymbly...they tap into the main wire harness that controls the headlights, parking lights, and side markers.....thats a big problems....its pulls to much current and will fail eventually....the best way to solve this and AAC needs to inform their customers .....to use a relay and tap into the battery.....i think this whole issue could of been resolved if AAC would of had instructions.....and also tested and tested on a vehicle to see how it would hold up......I know i wont buy from AAC no more....even though they do try to help....i think this problem is going to have a bigger backlash especially when you let them split your lens apart etc.....are you ready for the catcher.....???? its raining here in louisville today and i been in the garage working on the car....i happen to pick up the headlight assymbly off the table and notice MOISTURE inside the lens....i cannot win for loosing.....so all n all...its not work it ....the headache and problems and very very very poor product.....also i might wanna add...if you do decide to get this kit...make sure to heat shrink every connection.......
So you received all this stuff without installation instructions, you call them up asking where are they, and they tell you you're on your own?

No ....when they send it to you ....one would think its simple to hook up ....but its not especially with the charger and the magnum.....these cars electrical system are very finicky so that didnt help out none neither....but i think AAC should of never let these problematic inverters leave their store....I didnt even know there was a problem until i call and let them know i had a problem...that ticked me off .....then today when i was workin on the car...i noticed that after all this and even me sending my headlights BACK to have the third halos put on .....they didnt even replace the problematic inverters that was on the lights.....they had the nerve to send em back to me...never again.....i know there are others who had good luck with this ....but i wont go through this again......buyer beware....I didnt get to much into detail ...yes you can say im scorn and pissed....after $1500 you would be too...

Same here, I was thinking of doing this mod myself, but in the end I guess I am better off duct taping the halo's on the outside of the headlight.

yes, please keep us posted. I love the look of the Halos, but have always been scared to do the mod. I have heard good stories and bad, but never seen anything consistent
A friend of ours over on one of the other boards with a 300 had his catch on fire. I don't know if it was faulty wiring on his part or faulty product.

I am in process of installing them myself right now. BUT I bought the RED Halo's. As any red light is illegal here in idaho I am also wiring in a toggle switch in the cabin so I can turn em on and off. I will keep everyone posted on how they are holding up.
I tied my entire Halo system (two lights in headlamp, and fog lights) into my parking lights, and then put a switch in between the power and the inverter. Everything is shrinkwrapped and sealed so if these bad boys go bad I will be pretty pissed as well.

Good Luck Man, make sure you let us know how it goes, I really want them, but not if they go out all the damn time.

Daytonnna,
Make sure to put a relay on them and believe me i wouldnt wire them into the headlights or parking lights ...they work better wired directly into the battery...I have mine connected to the relay and they seem to work better...but only time will tell..........what a headache...knowing my luck it will go out right before the big show.....grrrrrrrrrrrr

Hey Got mine all done they are wiried into the Fog lamp circuit, not the parking lights sorry. The secondary toggle switch I installed wroks well and I am pleased with how they look, but I can't see the Fog lamp halos because they are overpowerd by the fog lamps....
So.. Smokey I was wondering if you could put up a few pics of where/how you wiried it into the batery. And what type of relay are you using? And how did you wire that up?

Sorry about that daytonnna i was outta town .....i will post some pics up asap....why does one side look brighter than the other? also as far as wiring goes....i used a relay with a pig tail wire harness....used the ground and pwer on the connector under the hood( i dont know what they call it, its where u can jump the car) ....very easy to do and u will notice the halos alot brighter when you use a relay....those red halos look crazy ....thats hot....i think those would look good on my red SRT8...

Update
After all the crap i have been through things are working good since i wired the halos using a relay...they seem brighter...and also i used heat shrink on every connector to avoid moisture.....My two little halos of the triple kit. are still not working...i cant change the invertor because some dumb A^$ put the inverter inside the head light assymbly.....If anyone does order these, make sure to take your time .....use heat shrink on every connection....also if you get your headlights back make sure to take some clear silicone and run a bead around the seal just to make sure....im getting a little fogging ...grrrrrrr also use a relay....you can actually run all the inverters together into the relay and it works fine.....make sure to install things where you can reach them incase you have to replace or repair....thats very important...it will save you alot of time.....Even tho these Halos look great ....I wouldnt do it again ...i would use the money for other mods...this has been a nightmare and i have a feeling its not going to change... i plan on trading my 07 in for a 08 and i wont be using the halos.....AAC wasnt no help...they claim to not have any problems, not aware of issues, and half ass did my headlights...when i got them back the second time ...there was dried glue allover the lens....finger prints inside the lens etc......their defense is they test each halo before it leaves the building...they connect it to a power source and check it that way...they dont install it on a charger and test it and if they did they would of known there are problems....after speaking to a tech at the dealer....these chargers, magnums and 300c are very finicky when it comes to the electricle system...these cars arent easy for aftermarket alarms, lights, remote starts, etc....thank god for this forums because you can learn alot about these cars....the fact of the matter is ...these cars cant handle extra voltage draw on the factory lighting plugs....
Enjoy

The Flash on my camera washed out the closer halo. I was VERY thorough on sealing/shrink-wrapping every connection while I was installing. I have to completely agree with Smokey on this one. The installation guide is mediocre at best, and the "electronics/power hookup" portion is non-existent. If you don’t have any electronics knowledge, or a good mechanic doing this mod don't mess with it. I did the entire project myself and it is NOT simple, or easy. If anyone is taking this project on PM. me and I will lend my limited knowledge on how to do it.

Sure, I am going to have to rewire it. Smokey tied his lights into his battery directly which is alot better way than I hooked mine up so I am going to change mine this weekend. Once I get that done I will get some photos and do a write up on the whole process.

I too ordered the triple halos from AAC, but only got dual halos. They happily refunded my $$ for the less halo's. On a lighter not, mine came with a supplied relay. I literally plugged in the HIDS to the inverter, and then into the relay, and supplied the relay 12 volts and an input from the stock low beam headlight socket, and everything worked!
I still need to run a bead of silicone over the wire coming from the halos out of the assembly, cuz I am getting some fogging.

I'm looking forward to the write up. I received the AAC headlights with the triple halos. I have 2 red and 2 black wires for the halos that I would like to hook up to a switch in the cabin. I'm just not sure how to go from the halos to the battery to the switch.
Any help would be appreciated!
we had some real issues are our shop with this kit , 1 side brighter ect ect
