My dad knows that if he drinks when we have a toy out that he can give me the keys.

Wow, that would kill me. I'd have to have another "beverage" or two just to kill the stress.:knockout:

Before Flex Junior bought his first car last July (he turned 17 on May 21, 2007), I let him take my R/T out on at least one Saturday night (and maybe two).
Talk about scary.........

I let my 15 y/o daughter drove my car around the block a few times yesterday to practice for her provisional license. I have to admit, it was kind of scarry when she makes those wide turns into the other lanes.

Not a good idea to let a kid practice with different cars, let her get good with one car. Having said that, in no traffic situations, I'd have my daughter stop in the middle of the street and get out of the car to look at what she was doing. Same thing on parking, if it was an inch offset, she had to redo it. I set the standards extremely high, and she met them.

yeah scary indeed...i let my cousin drive my car one time when i was briging the vette to my house to put some air in the tires and remove the tint for inspection, and i was sweating bullets the entire time, BUT i loved hearing what it sounds like when i step on it, from another vehicle...that was cool...

Funny you mentioned that.
I was standing on the driveway watching FLEX Junior drive away that night last summer when he borrowed my R/T, and he didn't even get on the throttle because we live in a townhouse complex, and I still turned to Miss Foxxxy and said "Wow, I never realized how awesome that car sounds!"

Taught my daughter on my last R/T when she first got her permit a couple years ago. It taught her how to feather the throttle to prevent wheel spin (ESP turned off), particularly on wet or snowy roads. She now drives a fwd Caliber, but I wouldn't hesitate to let her drive the Charger if she wanted.

Oh yeah, i was like wow it really does sound mean, all my freinds say "dude you car sounds bad a$$" and i always say i wouldnt really know im always in it. Bottom line is the charger has the best exhaust note, and all others can kiss my butt...

Well, it made her day and that's what counts. You do have a good point about practicing with different cars.
