We are coming out over Thanksgiving for about 2 weeks. Can't seem to stay away from Hawaii!
We're staying in a rental house between Haleiwa Town and Waimea Bay right on the ocean. Love those north shore waves!
Maybe I can meet up with some of you at a local hang spot or cruise place? Won't have my Bee but will have a SUV........Ha!

I'll be here, keep in touch and we'll see if the Ikonz are doing anything around that time so you can hang out with us. Let me know if you need help with anything on your way out here.

Great! Hope we can hook up.
I am hoping for some BIG waves on the north shore November 18th through the 29th! I don't surf but I enjoy watching others. I guess there is a big surfing tournament that date too. Reef Hawaiian Pro - Alii Beach, Haleiwa, Oahu, HI, USA
ill be there in april...the 4th to be exact, staying for a couple weeks at turtle bay. first time ive been to oahu, whats fun to do around there?

Depends...if you want to do all the typical tourist stuff, there is tons to do. Learn to snorkel, surf, etc. The Polynesian Cultural Center has the big luau and shows for the tourist crowd. Good hiking here, sightseeing too. Trust me, there isn't a lack of stuff to do.
Let me know if you need help with anything.
so there is good snorkel there? ive been many places around the world to scuba and snorkel. i was in australia and the great reef last year.
ive heard hiking is great there, thanks for the info. i golf as well and heard there is a great course near turtle bay, including the resorts course.
i cant wait for april.

Hey Guys, Just A Heads Up, Everything Cost More In Hawaii! So Bring Extra $$. Try To Avoid Buying Things In The Hotels If Possible.($1.50+ For A Can Of Soda In Some Hotels!) Other Than That, Have Fun And Enjoy The Island.

Well if you want to go out for a beer when you get here...there are a few great places. Gordon Birsch, they actually have their own brewery and a good selection and great food too. A better place in my opinion is The Yard House, over 100 different beers on tap and great food as well...awesome place. Both places have websites if you want to check them out. I would love to take you up on that offer...I'll even drive :)

We'll hook up for sure. We have now been to Maui, The Big Island, Oahu and Kauai. Did not think much of The Big Island. I like Oahu (big waves and LOTS to do) and Kauai (very beautiful more laid back).
Been to many different places like Puerto Rico, Mexico, Accapolco and Jamaica. Some places are too warm and humid for me. Hawaii is perfect, all the time.
We enjoy learning about the local culture and hanging out with locals wherever we go opposed to hanging around the big tourist areas where everyone else is.....Even though we are tourists. We buy those blue books of each Hawaii island, written by people who live there. It tells you all about the secluded areas to hit. towns, beaches, trails etc. Love it!
