HRME Fantasy Racing League

[ChargerSXT]

The HRME Fantasy Racing League for the 2008 season is now up and running! The league is on Yahoo! and is free to enter. There is no pot to win, but I do buy a small trophy to give to the winner.

You can sign up here: http://racing.fantasysports.yahoo.com/auto. Here's what you do:

- Click on "Sign Up Now". If you don't already have a Yahoo! ID and password, then you will need to sign up for one.
- Create your team
- Select "Join A Group." You will need to choose to join a private group. It will then ask you for the Group ID # and password. Those are:

Group ID #: 17226
Password: boogity

That's about it. It should then take you to your team's page. If you have any questions or problems, let me know.

Also, BE SURE to read the rules. You can find them here: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/racing/rules/.

You can see who everyone else has only after the drivers are locked in. Normally, you can see the teams after qualifying has started, but you can't see which drivers are actually selected for the race until the race starts. Make sense?

The most important thing to remember about this league is the 9 race rule. That can bite you in the butt if you aren't careful.

Here we go...an officer having to instruct an enlisted..... :tongue:

You can only use a driver a total of 9 times for the entire season. The counter only runs when the driver is used for points for a race. If you have your driver on your team for qualifying, but don't use him in the actual race, then the counter doesn't run.

You can change which drivers you have on your list up until 5 a.m. (I believe) the day of qualifying. Once the deadline passes, your team is set. Then, you can change which drivers, from your team, you select for the actual race. The deadline for this is usually 5-10 before the scheduled start of the race.

Yeah it has been awhile. I'm doing fine. Just taking life one day at a time and sucking it up in fantasy racing and fantasy football. I lost my mojo. Hope you and the family are doing well.

I have to say, the HRME Fantasy Racing League championship is more interesting than the actual Sprint Cup championship.

After qualifying...my wife and I are tied. It will all come down to who has the better race. We will more than likely have 2 of our 4 drivers the same...so it will probably come down to our other 2 drivers.
