You should have a lot of fun. I'm from New Orleans, but had to leave because of Katrina. I wish I could go, but Mardi Gras is only a holiday in New Orleans. Try to catch the Endymion and Bachus parades on Mardi Gras weekend. And stay clear of Bourbon St. unless you like being squeezed between thousands of people. Oh and St. Charles street has plenty of good spots to post up on Mardi Gras day. Have fun!!

You should definitely check out the French Quarters during the day (too packed at night). There are a lot of historic architecture in that area. There's also Harrah's Casino at the end of Canal St. And there are a ton of restaurants downtown. They offer the best Gumbo and Po boys. If you can veer out of downtown and go to Metairie, you can visit Copeland's restaurant. They have the best seafood in the city.

Def check out the hustler store. you can get some nice shirts there.
Go to Cafe dumonte(think thats how u spell it), go to the open market, french quarters, i went during jazz fest and saw bb king and stuff like that

DAMN, I'm skipping this year, been twice already. My brother and like 3 of my best friends will be there, they hang out at the Columns on St. Charles. If I could have gotten a deal like that, I'd be there too, it is soo much fun!!! Have a blast and take some pics, work safe of course, lol.

Have fun dude! make you sure you try the food, that is the best part of new orleans. I am from new orleans, and I am leaving before Mardi Gras, har har. If you plan on going to bourbon, do not wear clothes you want to keep! Also I am not sure about flying with a buddy pass.... You are going to be on stand by, and Mardi Gras is the busiest time of the year here. Plus we do not have a big airport. Good Luck and Enjoy! Oh and chargers are everywhere here!

January 31 IM leaving for New Orleans for Mardi Gras. My friend works for an airline so she's hooking her sister and I up. $60.00 buddy passes plus 10 of us to share a room just to wash up not like were sleeping so it will be really cheap. Just been stressed out and down, I need a pick me up.

Trust me it gets crazy down there. I went once and saw a beautiful redhead in a Mermaid outfit. I told honey you can home and swim in my fish tank anytime. She turned around and looked me up and down and said, "I just might do that big boy". Problem is she had a REALLY DEEP VOICE.

So be careful !!!!!

Also watch out with the beads as they will cause your neck to break out in hives as they have lots of nasty on them. I can only imagine what they would do to the TWINS.

Well, I should have known, my little trip just got canceled. From what I heard everyone backed out due to very high hotel rooms, this sux I knew I should have NEVER planned anything with these people. Of course the hotel is high, what did they expect.
