Has anyone figured a way to listen to the radio (Nav system) at night while the headlights are off without it absolutley blinding you? Only thing I have been able to figure out is to drape a shirt over it or something. Kind of annoying when you go to the beach at night and want to listen to the radio with the car off and the headlights off. Any suggestions?

The only way to fix it is send it to me and I'll give you my single disc player to replace it with... :)

yeah, unfortunately the nav systems in our cars really blow. Its the most user unfriendly nav I have ever come across. Doesn't auto dim when the headlights come on. It looks like it should, but mine never does. Maybe I am doing something wrong. Also the whole "can't access while driving" thing is a load of crap. What if a passenger wants to use it? To top it off, the trouble you have to go through to find a gas station or restaurant and such is a process....which also can only be done while sitting still. Not to mention it is fairly inaccurate as far as finding some locations. Hell, my nav couldn't correctly direct me to Chinatown in Chicago because there was a detour. It took me 20 minutes away, and my dad pulled out his portable nav and it took us right there using the exact same input. Chrysler engineers really choked this one. If I had it to do over, I wouldn't have gotten the Nav. I would buy an aftermarket portable system. Thanks for the opportunity to vent.

If you have the auto dim feature set to on, you still have to use the interior dash brightness control nob on the left side of the steering column. If you dim your dash lights, your nav dims as well.
