Viper 160XVL remote start

Has anyone have ever installed this on your charger or lx cars? I got this as a gift today and wanted to know if it will be ok to get this installed. Also i am a dealer maniac (Always at dealer for maintenance or what have you) I know they will take care of me if something happens..my dealer is the best.

Had one on my for and it sucked. The remote broke 2X and the range was not more then 10feet with new batteries. However, other people did not have any problems (according to the kid at best buy).
