2.5 weeks and no parts .. think I am screwed?

I try to be patient ... but I have sold alot of things online .. ebay .. craigslist etc. I paid for some parts here on CF 2.5 weeks ago from a member and have yet to see anything. Granted he is in CA and I am in NH ... but even 1st class mail from CA is 1 week....

How long do I wait? He has offered no shipping details, tracking #'s ... nothing.

Paypal is great. I ordered something from a site once and never got it and filed a complaint with paypal and got my money back.

I buy a lot and sell even more stuff online. Quite frankly, sometimes I can be lazy and let a few packages wait a couple of days. In this busy season it is even more understandable. Not saying it is the right thing to do; it isn't. But it happens. If you used PayPal there is no problem whatsoever. You can file a claim and get your money returned. I would wait until the end of the week. If you don't hear anything by Monday, try to contact him once more and let him know that he has 24 hrs. to respond so you know what is going on.

Because it's Christmas I'm gonna give The Boy Next Door until Wed.(12-26) afternoon before I file a dispute with paypal. #2 Don't spend the money until the transaction is completed, i.e. the customers at least has the goods in their hands and is satisfied.

I appreciate you are in a bind, but we are all out some money, and did not receive the promised goods, with you at the centre of our loss. So we must do what we have to, and attempt to recover our losses by using the protection service built into the payment method, i.e PayPal. That's why we all use it, and put up with their charges.

We all hope you will make good on this. You do have time to respond through Paypal. Follow the process, is all I ask.

Remember, the feelings are different depending which side of the equation you are on here, I've been on both ends. Let's all stay cool...

So to be taking a position of defending him or questioning other peoples actions (e.g. looking for previous infractions of a similar nature) now is a bit poor form when there are outstanding claims.

If they wait too long, they will lose the ability to file a paypal complaint, and based on what has happened, several of these people are approaching that time.

This guy is ridiculous. Somebody who owns a $40,000 Hummer can't pay people that he messed over? Hmmmmmmmmm.

I purchased a gauge pod that he "supposedly" had on 11/20 and paid for it immediately.

For over a month, I kept hearing excuses why I hadn't received it yet. On 12/18, he was "supposedly" going to mail me out the "spare" gauge pod that he had. Hmmm, how many people have spare gauge pods? rofl

He sent me the tracking number 1Z52Y0640195008217 and told me it WAS mailed. Another lie..........when I contacted UPS, I was told the tracking number was indeed used, but the item was NEVER shipped. When I was told to give him a "couple" of days, I was patient AGAIN.

I have sent him TWO more messages asking when I could expect my money. I made sure to get "reciepts" on the messages if he read them. IN FACT, he read BOTH of them but never responded.

This person is the type who just doesn't care about others. The only reason he is asking people to "be patient" is to let the statute run out to file claims on Paypal.

My purchased only cost $40, but it is the principal involved. I don't like being lied to and I demand honesty above anything else.

I gave him so many chances to make this right and he NEVER told me about the "girlfriends brother" thing. I had to find it out for myself. Disgusting!

I told him if he didn't make this right, I would take legal actions and unfortunately, it has come to that. I have contacted the LV Police Department, as well as Paypal. They asked me to save all correspondence and give him one more chance to make this right. I have done my part and gave him a week longer. Time is up. A person can only take so much. I am giving him 24 hours from now to pay me my money.........after that, I WILL file fraud charges.

He has lied to so many people on here. NOW, he is getting a credit card to pay people? Hmmmmmmm, if it's that bad.........go get a damn "payday loan" and pay us our money!

In my eyes, this person should be banned from the forum. I know he's going to respond with another sob story. GROW UP and PAY UP! Quit telling people to be patient. Patience only goes so far.

Might also consider filing formal complaint with FTC, because it crossed state borders, makes it a much more serious complaint with LV Police department. We just had somebody convicted here in Detroit for running internet scams. Police departments are beginning to take internet fraud seriously.

TBND, your peeps here are getting pretty upset, and you don't want to be fighting criminal complaint charges too. It would be in your best interest to quickly resolve this issue.

Yeah aggreed, I waited just a few days after seeing what was going on and it looks like I got screwed. Paypal has no money available, so it doenst look like he will be returning it. Although I have not given up on getting my money back or going after Jason Rosal legaly. I believe he has had plenty of time and just keeps brushing it off.

I have done my part by making some contacts and making people aware of his scamming way....I have more but I'm holding back hoping this will help get some resolution. I let the LVPD know that monetary issue was resolved between Jason and I, but that there are others that may or may not have been compensated. It appears that he is gonna follow through and pay everyone back, but I suggest you apply pressure if you want a prompt resolution.

Been reading this thread for a while now and I just want to warn everyone.

By him refunding the $ he owes you through another paypal account be careful. If he's using a different name as well I'd be cautious cause if he paid using someone elses account and later they want to say that someone hacked his account and did a bunch of transactions paypal will yank those payments from your account and you'll be back to square one. It may not happen like that but it is possible and is another loop hole he may try.

I've been selling on ebay and using paypal for a while now and I've been ripped off, tricked and hustled by every way possible. I never take payment from people who have not confirmed there accounts.

What worries me for all these people getting a refund from another account doesn't show that you ever received a refund for your original purchase. But now you go and close the dispute stating it's been resolved and he's in the clear. But he now can reverse the tables and say he paid for something and never received it and you'd be screwed because he did pay you and you can't prove that you shipped anything to him.

Just be careful. Paypal is a great way to handle transactions if done properly. But if not you can lose your $ and your item easily.

I know not everyone will appreciate my comments especially one person in particular but just wanted to make sure everyone is aware.
