I bought my sidwinder cam a few months ago from 402motoring.com and since then I get lot of PMs about how I like this cam, so I decided I'll just post a review.

If you looking to do a cam swap in your daily driver this is the cam for you. It is a great daily driver cam because it isn't too choppy, no CEL because of it, can run on stock tune (wouldn't recommend it though), and doesn't effect MPG. The idle is slightly more aggressive but isn't really that noticeable compared to most cams.

The only issue I've had with it was before I raised my idle with diablo, I had the car stall on me a few times because the RPMs dipped too low.

Now as far as the performance goes, this cam is amazing. It is a good mid-range cam so you don't have to rev high just to feel the power. Once you hit about 2500 RPM the car starts pulling hard and keeps pulling.

Before I did my sidewinder, my mods were: SLP Full exhaust, AFE Stage II CAI, and Flashpaq tuner. With this setup, I made 315 RWHP and 352 TQ and ran a 13.7 @ 101 in the 1/4 mile.

After I did my sidewinder, I had got rid of my flashpaq and ran with a stock tune for a few weeks until I got my diablo. I took my car to the track once during that period of time and ran a 13.5 @ 103 in the 1/4 mile.

After getting my diablo and getting a custom tune, I made 360 RWHP and 373 TQ and ran a 13.1 @ 106 in the 1/4 mile.

I also get asked a lot about how much it cost me to get it installed. Well I paid a shop $1,000 to install it for me. This is about the going rate for cam install on these cars. If you want to get it done cheaper, there is a few members on lxforums.com that would give you a really good deal on the install.

Here is a sound clip (http://video.tinypic.com/player.php?v=4kkajdg&s=1) of my car at idle

I was one of the first people to get the diablo and the day after I got it, I went up to my local diablo dealer to have them run my car on the dyno and make some adjustments. We changed the fuel a few times and weren't seeing any changes in the A/F so we called diablo. Diablo made me a custom tune for my mods and we made a few changes to that. Diablo got very close with the tune, but the tune wasn't perfect because we didn't have the CMR software so I decided to do a mail in tune with Pro-motion tuning. They say my tune is looking really good now, so I am taking my car back to the dyno next week.

Thanks Metgo...looking into getting one of these for the Banana. So does your car feel more powerful after this last tune? I'll be looking out for your new numbers, especially those A/F numbers.

I got diablo and Sidewinder at about the same time, and the difference is Night and Day. Just amazing.
