Hey guys. If anyone called us earlier today and did not receive a phone call back, please give me another call because we couldn't make out the telephone number in your message. I listened to it 10 times but the phone number was said so fast the numbers weren't clear enough for me to even make a guess as to the number.
Thanks!

Sorry, HighHorseman, but to be perfectly honest, the GS Motorsports Supercharger kit is way overpriced, IMO. You can buy the supercharger (Novi 1200) direct from Paxton for <$2k (thats retail price)... I do not see where the additional >$4k in pricing comes from as it only requires a mounting bracket, pulley and belt, fuel pump and some 3" flex tubing to connect it to the intake(prolly less than $500 in additional parts). Granted, GS MS is the first to offer it in a kit, so I guess they can charge what they want (supply and demand type thing), but I think I will wait until other kits are available.
Thanks, but no Thanks,

Thanks, but no Thanks,I wish it was that easy - if it was, we all would be making our own kits, lol, but there's a heck of a lot more to these kits than that, including the sophisticated fuel management system which in itself is pretty pricey for all of the components involved in it. If you priced all of the individual parts of this kit plus the cost for all of the parts GS fabricated, you would probably end up paying a lot more for the kit.
Your argument is the same one that the guys who say 'just weld in a muffler, why pay for a complete cat-back' take. With a complete kit, you're getting everything you need to install the kit and you know that the kit is going to work how it is supposed to and be reliable, too, without the problems you could or would encounter if you decided to design your own system. These cars are way too complicated for your average Charger owner to take on a project like this so if you are paying a little bit more for GSM's expertise and developement costs, then to the majority of their customers, this expense is worth the insurance of knowing the kit will work. With any product, a portion of the price always goes towards the developement costs. I drink soda even though the can costs 3 cents and the soda costs 5 cents. I'll still pay 75 cents for it because I could would never want to tackle of process of making my own.

Highhorseman, I got one of these shaker hood kits, and I'm addressing the advertized functionality of this kit. There are two giant 3/4"x4" air leaks being the large hand grip cut outs on either side of the base of the scoop to pop off the scoop lid to add oil to the engine (holes easily seen in many pics with the hood up). Of course, you also have the 3 water drain holes that leak air at the bottom of the engine cover that drain the water away, and a large leak around the oil fill tube... you can count them in too. besides those, the scoop doesn't at all seal to the engine cover and the scoop base doesn't seal to the hood. Besides that, the puney 1.5"x4" single air port that supposedly shoots (even if it does that) air (across the hot engine bay area!) ONTO the air filter in a completely unsealed air box is just SILLY!... I guess just enough to advertize that it might have a function?!. Besides, on my 06 Charger, the factory air pick up is at the base of the air box that draws from just behind the front grille area. Shouldn't be any hot air in there. I just don't want anyone to think they will be getting a fully functional system like CDC misreapresents. NOT COOL. I can't even figure out how the heck I could ever make it a sealed system so it will do something. You should look at the system a little closer before you repeat inaccurate sales talk.

MoP, thanks for your input on this system. I know that these kits have gone back into revision and they won't be available for another few weeks. I'm not sure what is involved with the revisions, though. These kits really don't do anything as far as ram affect. They are mainly a cool aesthetics mod. They do route cool air to the air filter which is responsible for some of the performance gains, the other gains coming from the Airaid drop in filter that converts the factory filter over to a less restrictive conical filter. You get the same horsepower increases with the shaker unit that you get with the basic Mopar or K&N Typhoon intakes. I'm sorry to hear that you're unhappy with the shaker unit on your Charger. The functionality may not be there, but I'm sure your one-of-a-kind Charger looks awesome.
