Oops - Is it ruined?!?!?!

I am sick tonight. I am so stupid. I got a little anxious with the Liquid Clay Bar stuff and wouldn't you know that I went right across my front emblem without even thinking about it. Today my daughter came in the house and wanted to know why my emblem turned purple. Sure enough! In the bright sunshine, the emblem is completely flat and shows a bit of a purple tint to it.

So, what to do? Is it ruined? Can I either clear coat or wax it to bring it back? What else should I try?

I will probably remove it tomorrow and put back the original emblem. I'll put it in my "Well, what stupid thing did you do this week Mike" box. It's actually a crate that takes up half the garage now. 47 years is a alot of weekly idiocies.
