View Full Version : 12 second database and 109mph+ trap speeds

Okay SRT-8 owners,
Let's have a definitive database for all 12 second runs and 109mph+ trap speeds. We need a source and reference. Lets try this format:
1. Post your timeslip if possible
2. Post your actual timeslip data if possible
3. List your MODS or if you're STOCK
4. NO EXCUSES or EXPLANATIONS, just the facts!
Poll added so we can see the sheer numbers.
NOTE: Need more 12sec stockers - the 300Cs seem to be edging us out...!!

If I could launch this thing I think it could pull a really good time - like in the 12s, but the track prep was terrible this weekend. My goals for the season are a 12-sec pass and a 109+ trap...so we're half way there! The middle run was after a 30-min cool down. The DA was around 700 for these runs, I have an AFE 2, 185 t-stat and 25-cent fan mod.

If you can get a lot of runs in, and use race gas, try results with both the 91 and 93 octane tunes in the Diablo. Just keep the fans on high so you know each result isn't skewed by high engine temps.
Keep us posted!!

I was at the track with Ujokin2 Friday......I just barely managed a 12 sec pass and this was my first time at the track..EVER!!
All 8 runs were within .25 sec and 1.1 mph. Not the fastest, but at least I'm pretty consistent!!
My first pass EVER is listed, beside it is my 5th (best) run.

I wish I could change my vote - 12.822 @ 109.17 mph as well as a 12.996 @ 106.93 mph, both with 2.0 60fts. THANK YOU DIABLO TUNER!!
I'll be starting a thread with full details later.
I do have an excuse though - Sears Point with a 15mph headwind is not a fast track for street cars... ;)

$125 for the "canned" CMR tune and about $300-350 for CMR tune. I guess Bob gives you like 5 different tunes for different weather conditions, etc. when you get a CMR tune from him.
Since I'm getting a CMR tune from him later on he gave me the "canned" tune to try out for free.
My last run was 13.1 something (2.25 60' w/ crappy traction as it got dark) and 110.94 MPH. I was impressed by the difference in top end pull with his canned tune.

Before the Diablo and because the staging area to the xmas tree is so short at Sears, I never got over 20mph. So my 2-3 diagnostic shift at WOT down the strip was horrible. The car fell flat on it's face, bad enough to check the guages for warning lights.
Now with the Diablo, not only do I get wheelspin into 2nd, 3rd has a nice lunge to it. A 2.0 60ft with a Diablo basically guarantees a 12sec run.

Finally broke into the 12 second club this past week, thanks to the Predator !! We got to run 4 times. Results were as follows:
1. 13.02 @ 108.2
2. 12.87 @ 108.5
3. 12.86 @ 108.7
4. 12.82 @ 109.4
Will try to post slips later. Here's a video of the 12.86 run... Best before Predator was 13.17 @ 106.2 ... 3/10's and 3 mph gain was WELL worth the price of the Diablo... Now if I could only find a shop close to Hartford to do a custom tune, I think I'll finally be satisfied (yea, right)

Awesome! Did you ever make any runs bone stock?
Thanks ... Yes, the summer of '06 when she was bone stock I ran a best of 13.18 @ 106.5 ... Then with the mods listed in my signature and a K&N drop in filter I could only run 13.17 @ 106.2 ... She was pretty consistent between 13.20's and 13.40's with the dozens of runs we did ... I can only attribute the three tenths plus and three MPH gains to the Predator ... It's really nice to dip into the high 12's... I couldn't be happier .. The only other thing I really wanna have done is a CMR tune on a dyno as soon as I can find a shop nearby that does them...
Oh, imagine THIS ?? This guy who works with my brother said his son was up there last week, and said if I only "knew" how to drive the car, I'd be in the 11's EASY !!! :knockout: What a MORON !!! When I see him I'm gonna tell him to bring 10K to the track the next time I go, and I'll bring my title, and let him drive it through a couple runs .. If he runs 11's he keeps the car.. If not, I keep the 10K .... Pretty good deal, eh ???

No kidding, right ?? I love my car, but KNOW she's far from capable of running 11's !!!
To be honest, I don't feel much of a difference in the shift from 2-3 .... I think what's helping more than anything is the raised shift points... She used to shift right at 6200, and though I know it "should" be 6400 now, the tach reads 6600..
I had the flash done at the dealership a long time ago and gave up the rev limiter... I DID notice a slight 2-3 improvement after the flash, but it didn't help ET's....
The only way I can describe it is that the Predator has made this little beast a tad bit angrier, and its master sooooo much happier  ....
