DCX, ever the busy car manufacturer has produced another concept thats making headlines and generating alot of buzz. The Dodge Challenger Concept (http://www.challengertalk.com) continues to impress us as more and more information is leaked. Based on all the information thats been released it appears that this car will become reality.

So, as it seems another car is added to the Dodge family, another forum is born. We have put up the Dodge Challenger (http://www.challengertalk.com) forum at the following URL:

http://www.challengertalk.com

Be sure to get in early and reserve those low userid's as always and be sure to spread the word to any aficiandos who might also dig the Challenger (http://www.challengertalk.com) as much as us.

After seeing the current pics of the new challenger,IMO it blows away all other competition in styling including the current DCX line-up! Challenger will, without a doubt be in my stable as this car doesn't have to grow on you like certain other cars in the dcx line-up. This car is hot looking right from the start and I'm finally happy to see DCX has finally heard alot of enthusiasts outcrys for a true retro muscle car look and performance, and now its here in the form of the challenger. This is, and will be the hottest, coolest looking car from DCX, no question period!

You are right! I would also like to add..

Everyone talks about the collectability of newer cars, including the new Charger, BUT in my opinion, i have my doubts about these becoming valuable classics and etc.. The Challenger WILL be a collectible car, you wont need numbers or anything. Just let 30 years go by and watch history repeat itself.
This is really what its about. Thank Ford for doing the mustang right.

The lesson here is these cars of the 60's, 70's became classics for a reason.
The 70 Challenger, the 69 Charger, Mustang etc. It is the style. We all want a modern one of those, not the newer stuff. The GTO missed because it is not mostly about going fast with good handling etc. It is the STYLE then add the rest. That is why I think the charger missed the mark although it is "goodish" it could have and would have been another monster had DC gone more retro with it 4 doors or not!

Why doesn't the big 3 come out with a new line called the CLASSIC LINE.

Dodge, gm, ford takes 2 or 3 of the classic style cars from each and just produce a modern version of it and then LEAVE IT ALONE!!!!!! DO NOT CHANGE ANYTHING EVER! If you got a winner and it worked on one generation it will have the same appeal, at least for a good while.

Does Anyone Know The Engine Size And Hp Yet.

Depends on what engines are available when it gets released.
If it was built right now it'd be 340-hp R/T and 425-hp SRT-8.
I have seen make/model spreads for the coming years, but I
have not yet seen the engine spreads. Would be interesting.

Everyone is saying the 6.1. I would love to see the two door sedan, possibly in a convertible, with a 6.4. It will be available with a 6 speed manual also.

C.

Visit the magazine racks. It is on the front of many of the magazines for Feb.

The 6.4 HEMI displayed in the '70 Challenger is a CRATE engine.
Don't expect to find the 500-hp 6.4 HEMI in any production car.

Cost?

It's not going to compete against the Mustang or Camaro if they price it at $35k (which is what I'm betting on)

Don't expect to find the 500-hp 6.4 HEMI in any production car. You can't say that as this would be a great entry way for the 6.4L Hemi challenger to compete against the 475hp shelby mustang.

It's seems like the makers are bring back a name from the 60s, and reviving it back to life - Though that it nearly not the same as the origional namesake that it came from..
