I have not been to a drag strip, but I've seen many posts of the times on the forums. I had a question regarding how these times are read.

For example:

RT: .144
60': 4.3
1/8: 9.6
1/4: 12.3
ET: 12.3@98.5MPH

The times above are just an example, but does the ET time include the reaction time or is it from the green light to the end of the run? IOW, would the true adjusted time in the example above be ET - RT (12.3 - .144 = 12.156) or is that not how it's done?

Reaction time has no effect on ET/MPH. The clock does not start until your car actually breaks the staging light beams..

RT = Reaction Time
60' = 60 foot time
1/8 = 1/8 mile time
ET = elapsed time

If some one says they did 12.3@98.5MPH that means they finished a 1/4 mile with ET of 12.3 seconds, and there Trap Speed (speed at the end of the 1/4 mile) was 98.5.
