The acceleration was mind bending. My eyes were pinned to the back of my head. Never felt anything accelerate like that anytime before or since.
No this was not in my 2007 Charger SRT

Metgo thanks for responding. My first time @ track was a 14.8 last century in an a 1985 IROC-Z. On the street very few cars were able to beat that car. It did 0-60 in 6.5 and I thought that was quick. Waiting for cooler weather on East Coast to get my personal best in 07 Charger SRT. These new Chargers are awesome compared to old musclecars. New in the SRT8 13.194 @ 109.05 MPH had a 1.969 60' and the DA was 1600. Only 510 miles and 0 mods.

I would say that is one of the fastest SRT's stock. I can't wait for a little cold weather on east coast to give it my best shot.

Would like to see 12's and when we finally get handheld tuners pretty confident the Charger will do it.

Curious if you have traction problems when you first start cause when I hit the loud pedal can't stop spinning the rear tires. Too much fun!

When I was about 10 I remember my dad and uncle strapping me in the passenger seat of my uncles "Purple People Eater" with a helmet on my head.

It was a 71 Challenger with 440-6 far from stock (oringinally a small block car).

I almost pi$$ed myself, therefore the numbers are irrelevant.

That little episode of child endangerment was one of my defining moments.

The other was sitting on the passenger side floor of my other uncles dirt track stock car desperately trying to hang on to the cage bars as he blasted down Hankerd Rd near Chelsea, MI.

If what I'm seeing is correct our Chargers are faster than most muscle cars of the past. One note is they might be one of the fastest automatics. Just compare the times and especially the mph. Too much fun!

In my friend's Big Block Chevy Vega in 1980. No 60' clocks, just 1/4 mile ET and Speed. This was the quickest pass I ever made:

I think you should rent another awd charger and install your nos kit in it on june 7th and bring it to infineon...There will be about 40 of us there...

if a guy in a civic runs 13s who am I to judge? that's slow for some but where we race those r the slowest cars which would be a great run for a rt hemi.

Ran a 9.96 in a friends 69 Camaro, I placed third in eliminations.

Of my fleet ==> 13.10, currently have it listed for sale in Ebay 1967 GTX with a 440 Six Pack.

Very soon I will own a 07 Sublime Daytona, Very, Very soon. My auction ends Saturday. I will see low 13's with this car based upon the mods I have seen all of you do.

My first trip to the track in my new used 06 Top Banana was a first pass of
14.53 @ 97.74, leaving it in drive and letting it shift.
Second pass was 14.45 at 98.17 with me shifting at 5200-5500.
All stock with only a K and N drop in replacement filter.
It is loaded with all the goodies, Nav, DVD, etc.
So I do have to say it is without a doubt the nicest car I have ever owned in my life.
Now as far as fastest had to be my 70 Challenger that was about 2-3 cars put together, w/ a 69 440 hp, auto, and 3.91s, headers, Edelbrok carb and a super small cam- 14.11.I believe that it was right at 99mph.
I had to baby it out of the hole and then once it got moving hammer it it would still spin a bit.
The most fun had to be my 89 Shadow ES 2.5 Turbo , w a 5spd, it would beat the factory z-28s/ IROCs, and hang with the LX 5.0s. Too much ego and too much wheel spin did not do it justice at the track with a 15.9.:lol:
