We had a lot of email and some phone calls after we posted pictures of our T-Handle shifter the other day asking us hey what is that metal plate next to on the right hand side?

That plate was used to check fit and ultimately became this below. We had a customer come to us ask "hey guys I really want to use that space next to the shifter to put my various controls what can you do and can you make me some push buttons or switches also, I'll give you my electrical control panel that everything hooks into."

This is what we did for him. We cut out the center for his read out displays and we custom machined some switches for him. The switches snap down and lock into place over the ones on the electrical panel the customer provided. I told Dan today after he brought this in for me to photo it; man let make one for us and put a bunch of switches on it. It looks too cool and we can be posers LOL :D

We also will be custom cutting a couple of other control panels that will be housing NOS switches and readout gauges. I'll post pictures of those when they are finished.

Members over on the LX boards have expressed interest in just a simple cover in that spot that they would like to have in colors or have engraves on. If interest is there we may offer this as just a general cover plate down the road.

This is just an example of some of the custom work we can provide.

Man thats nice. I could put my noesp/fan switch, any cathode/led switch. I guess the possibilities are endless.

I usually put receipts in that spot. What a waste!

Would it be possible to do wording on there by the fake switches ala James Bond?? Maybe stuff like: "hot babe(or dude) camera", "ejector seat", "Ricer steamer", "Air horn", "traffic light control"...things along that line. Not necessarily functional but sort of an outlet for us when faced with moron drivers on the road around us. I often wish i had a crane arm that came out of the trunk and picked up the car in front of me driven by that old blue hair that looks below the top of the steering wheel and just above the dash to drive the car 18MPH BELOW posted limits.

LMAO Tom. Oh man we are thinking a like here. Yep. the good old blow off steam panel. The cure all for road rage. Dan has some cheesy red panic button out in his tool box and we were all goofing about that today in the shop

Ha, ha :D . You could lay it out different since you dont need the cut out in the center, but yea, stuff like you are doing there, that would be fun.

That's pretty sharp. I might be interested in one of those. What does his display/button arrangement do? I've been thinking of putting a switch in my dash very soon, which is okay, but not what I really want to do. If Billet moved quick on these, it might make a sale and prevent me from drilling a hole in my dash.

What's the end result look like?

I'm not sure. I know that this is going to control is LED's and I believe his air ride. The electronics the customer provided. Basically we can do what ever you would like.

We have two other customers who are sending some gauges and one with a NOS set up that we are custom making a control layout for.

You really don't have to have it any one way, we can lay it out however any type of function may work best for you.

Folks we currently are working on several custom control panels. Here is the one we just finished and shipped for our good friend lowriderman on lxforums.
As you can see we can do just about anything here. Our customer drew up a sketch of what we wanted, provided his switched and we did the rest.

I loved it so much I wanted to keep it and be a 007 poser LOL

Did you all supply the switches on the above "fine" example? I would like a plate that has: Front, Rear, All . Basically I have lights in the front, rear of my car for road jobs (LEO).

No our customer supplied the switches for us. When we have a customer wanting a project such as this done, Dan usually talks directly to the person so that we are sure to be on the same page.

Guys, we are going to put the control panel up on our website for all 05-07 LX based rides. You will need to supply us with your switches and a detailed sketch of what you would like done. We then follow up with a phone call to discuss with you so we are on the same page and understand your needs.

The one hole in the top is missing the switch because we do not have it. We cut the size to the request of the customer.

Here is the latest switch panel that we did.
