Does anyone have any information on potential changes/improvements to the Charger for 2007? Specifically, the V6 Charger models? Also, I suspect availability won't be until the Fall of 2006.

No, we have no 2007 MY (model year) info yet. Dodge is understandbly closemouthed with such info, to discourage folks ffrom not buying this years model.

Production of 07s begins in late June to early July. Figure showroom arrivals a few weeks after that. Say early-mid August.

If they change the body style after one year I'm going to drive my car through the front window of the dealership.

I would not anticipate any major body changes, not since the whole LX line is scheduled for a "freshening up" for the 09 MY.

Aside from new daytona colors, and a change in price (up? down?) I doubt much will be changed.

Bugs will be worked out, sure, but they're already fixing them as they come out via TSBs and recalls, etc.

My thought when I started the thread was that any changes would be bug-related, not a face-lift or anything else major. However, a small bump in hp for the V6 wouldn't hurt.

I have read about bugs in the forums, but I've also read many good owner reviews. How leery should I be about buying a first year car? I'd prefer not to wait for the 07s and buy next Spring.

This is a first-year car, but the LX bodies have been around for several years now. Many of the bugs were worked out with the Magnum and the 300C. That was one of the determining factors with my charger purchase. Very happy!! :)

If it were not for the fact that waiting for an 07 lets me keep my SRT-4, Id have bought one already.

I'd like to see some convenience items added like auto headlights, steeringwheel mounted radio controls, and an electronics convenience group

It has the last two, and the third costs about $30 to add if you get the dual zone cliamte control option. Just unplug the normal headlight switch and plug in the 300C switch:)

Yes, the RT and up has those, but AFAIK, the SE and SXT don't which is what I was referring to since it's the V6 forum. I'm leaning to the SXT but would like the little niceities too. Not that it's a huge thing, but I don't think I've turned the headlights on in my car for the last 10 years :-)
