New Mod Install

Well guys, got my Zoomers, aFe CAI and my B&G Stage II installed yesterday...Wow!! What a difference, I was at a serious loss for words, she is amazing...but the bad news is, got pulled over on H1 doing 95...court date is upcoming...everyone keeps talking about license suspension and a day or two in jail...afraid I won't like the outcome of this one.

Congrats on the mods....sorry about the ticket.......surely they wont jail you over that unless you have a bad record. You could be jailed here in TN for going 20mph over the limit but the norm is just a ticket and fine...dont even have to go to court if you pay your fine before the court date.

BTW...the last ticket I got was on the island of Kaui back in 1989...stopped me for not wearing a seat belt....the officer wrote me and my wife a ticket. He said he was on a quota and had to write the ticket but said dont worry about paying..the courts are so backed up they wont bother with it....I guess I am a fugitive from justice now..:smoke:

Yeah, they changed the law back in January cause all the ricers running around. Anything over 81 mph is an automatic misdemenor now, so we'll see how it goes. In the process of getting a lawyer now.

You got that right...well as soon as I get done paying court cost, lawyer retainer, mandatory fine, driving course costs and buying my wife something really nice to shut her up about it ;)

Not really. I was in court the other day for doing 80 in a 55 and the judge asked me if I like my Charger, to be going so fast and I told him I had just lowerd the car and added and Exhaust to it.

He knocked it down to $100 no points, plus court cost.

sorry to hear about the ticket thing....congrats on the MODS!....I hope you were alone in the car (that seems to matter with the issue at hand)...on the other board that i frequent (ricer/younger aged) they all said they go more easy on you if you are solo....and if you only got that one citation I dont think its all that bad if you dont have a past record of speeding...if you are getting the trilogy of speeding/reckless/racing...well thats another story - smart to get lawyer at this point....good luck...and vent here if you have to...

definitely make sure you follow these too,
but at the same time don't be afraid to voice your story or arguments at appropriate times, make sure you're polite and explanatory...and you'll come out alright

Fairfax County, you should be fine. Go to court with bright eyes, without being brash.


It also helped that every other woman in court was beautiful and had outrageous Paris Hilton stories.:lol:
