View Full Version : What do you use to fix scratches?

What is recommened for hazing or scratches on carbon fiber pieces? Plastic X?

That might work, dried epoxy should behave a little like plastic. But it might be a little too hard for Plastic X to work on it. You may end up having to wetsand with 2000-4000 grit sandpaper.

some parts have dull areas on the hood, decklid and valve covers...i'm going to sand down the areas, then use a scratch removal compound (3M) and buff them out...i'll let you know how it turns out and what products i'm going to use...later - jimmy
i couldn't find 4000 sand paper, the most i could find is 2000....
