Depends. Do you want them to be functional?
I can see it now. "Give your car that 'Electronics Group' look for a fraction of the price!

That's a great question. You would think that if you swapped the wheel it would simply be a matter of plugging a connector into the radio but I have no idea. I'd love to do this is someone knows.

Well, I wanted the garage door opener for my SXT.
I ordered the module, got it, pulled the over head light down, and didn't find the wire that powers the module. I figured there would be a connector on the light dome or something. Nope.
Called the dealer, they called Chrysler and said I'm SOL, return the part.
Now I've got an e-mail in to Mopar asking them about it. I'd pay to let them run the wire from the fuse box, up the pillar, to my light, but right now they're saying no. It's a special 6 pin connector too. The module will fit in the light case, because it's the same one for the RT. Just don't have the wire up there.
So I'd have to guess the wires for the steering wheel controls are not there.
Visit the mopar site, and send an e-mail to customer service.

I got the response back from Mopar, and it basically said to talk to the dealer about my garage door module.
"Your best resource for information is the Parts Department of your local
DaimlerChrysler dealership. They can discuss with you the availability
of the part you are seeking, or any other options that may be available."
In other words, I'm SOL since the dealer already spoke to someone at Chrysler, and now I have to return the part.
So I doubt you'll get a streering wheel with buttons on it.
What a bummer, Dodge is really losing out on some money from people who would do these upgrades.

Look for a smashed SXT or above, rip out the parts.
Thats my plan, I have all the major salvage yards in the province knowing my phone number, the second one of those gets written off I"ll get a call and I"ll pull parts like that(tire sensors) and others out of it:)

Probably a good idea. The garage door module in the over head light dome goes for $129. To the casual parts puller, the over head light would only seem like a sunglass holder, with two lights. They probably wouldn't think much of those 3 buttons up there, yet that's the module. You don't need any tools to take it down. It's held up by 3 clips, just pull down and the entire assembly will come out. Then you'd need to pull the 6 pin wire that powers it.

Well, I took the part back, and they refunded the money, including the tax, and didn't charge a restocking fee.
The parts dude was shaking his head, because in the past, the wiring was always there, no matter what car you ordered.

The Steering wheel with buttons is part of the EVIC option package. That is the reason I returned my Top Banana because it didn't have the EVIC option.
The steering wheel ties into a lot more than just the Radio. It also controls the Onboard diagnostic and message center. If you change the steering wheel you will need to add the diagnostics center and sensors and get a whole new gauge cluster.
It's a major pain to swap if you didn't order the EVIC option to start with.
My dealer basically told me it can't be done so I took the car back and got one that had the EVIC option. It's only $630 bucks and well worth it to get it from the start and not mess with getting it later. If it is possible it will cost you a heck of a lot more money than if you would've gotten it in the first place
