I added a few switches, I didn't want to drill any holes. I removed the rubber storage insert, and applied a metal plate. The switches will be for my halos, led lights behind the grill, and the last for something in the future. Thought about painting the plate sublime instead of a brushed metal look. Still have to do the wiring, didn't have an idea where else to put the switches.

Holy crap dude, that's incredibly clean my man. Nice work!! And great placement. I vote not to paint it, love the bare metal look. It may look a little cheesy and overkill if painted.......

I like it, if you had access or could get it done cheap, a bead rolled around the edge would make it look very nicely finished!

Hey Chase & Spankis thanks for the feedback.

Nice idea but do it again, get better looking switch gear, drill the holes in a straight line next time too.
The way it looks now looks like something off a weekend junker race car you see at the local track. Sorry

Idea is great, but just needs a better touch.

A sublime pin stripe border about a half inch in from the edges might look good. Also, the radius on the corners need to be done better. No gaps........

along the lines of the "better looking switch gear" that SVRSRTCDN mentions, whynot try to find some light-up on/off buttons instead? You could get them in a green hue and keep with the Sublime theme while leaving the brushed metal plate.

#18 - I had the same setup for my nitrous switches, (except I attached the metal to the rubber cubby bin). Top to bottom - Nitrous Arming, Remote Bottle Opener, Bottle Heater, ESP Switch.

I like the "tucked away" look better so here is what I did: Cup holder switches and moved ESP switch to console bin:

I have a new console bin on the way to replace the one I modded.

Nice set-up! IMHO, I think te polished plate doesn't fit well with the chrome trims from the shifter. I would get a chrome plate to replace the polished one. And don't paint.

I dig it....I'd thought about doing something like this myself for the ESP mod, but I use that bin for my celly.

I dig it completely, definitely looks factory. Keep it unpainted, matches the trim around the shifter.
