I installed the Mopar CAI and will be putting a cat back system on in the spring. I want to get the Jet Stage II module. Can I put this on before the exhast system is installed? If I go with the Stage II and install it before the exhaust, will it add any noticeable power or will it hurt performance? Please help me on this one....Many Thanks!

From everything I have read on this site good reviews on the mopar CAI. Most people have put on the new cat back system, CAI and some have put on the chip later. I understand that the chip voids warranty if it is noticed by the delaership. There is much that has been posted on this subject. My suggestion is to check with some of the old guys who have already had it done on their vehicle and get their opinion. Do the reading on previoulsy posted threads and look for some advice from many of our fellow Charger friends on this site who have extensive knowledge on this subject before you jump. Hope this helps.

There's been some discussion on the JET Chip and performance. I can tell you that I have the same mods as you and added the chip a few weeks ago with a stock exhuast on an RT with RT package. I would not say it decreased performance at all. I can only tell you I was getting inconsistent wheel chirps stock and after the chip it was easier to smoke them. However, the temperature outside had dropped about 15 degrees.
Some people don't think that the chip does much and they may be right. If you go for it pay about 235 shipping free. Dont order right fromm JET as they will hammer you for 300 plus (this I know from experience). You can wiat for a programmer but thus far there is no firm delivery date for those.
Oh, gottago, where are you North of Boston. I have relatives in Beverly

Thanks. I don't want to do anything to hurt the performance...When I take it to the dealer, I can unplug the Jet module. I read some of the older threads but would like to hear from others who may have experienced or have knowledge of what I would like to do.

go look at my cecil post...........the chip changed my 2nd to 3rd gear shift points by 300 rpms. I can't stop spinning tires. In fact, I will take the chip out in a week or two. I want to play for a while still, but then I will remove it for the winter, and since it takes 5 mins to install, i'll plug and play, when i want to play. Plus then i can go back to 89 octane, save soooooome tires and use it as necessary. In fact, if it had an on/off switch I'd buy one for everyone in the family.

Hemiready...what will the programmer offer that the Jet chip won't?
it will offer calibration for change of gears (although none are availible for us yet) and also let you adjust shift points to your likeing rather then what jetchip sets them at.... plus a few other changeables...

Doesn't really answer your questions but rumor has it that there's a Mopar branded chip in the works, among other things. Might be harder for them to bitch about a Mopar chip than a third party chip but who knows. All else being equal I'd be more inclined to buy a Mopar part than another brand only because I have to think they'd know more about what's going on than the aftermarket folks. That may be unfounded but that's just me.

There you go. PACharger has had good results. GoDaddy is very happy too from what I recall. You can pull it before going to the dealer if you want.
Not a New Englander. Down in NY but love it up by you. I'll probably go up to Beverly this winter or first thing in the spring.
Nice area.

Hemiready...what will the programmer offer that the Jet chip won't?
I expect the programmers to offer more aggressive tuning along with calibrations for gear changes. Custom tunes might also be available for the guys that go with the big upgrades like head/cam packages.
I installed the Jet module and K+N induction into my 300C SRT-8 this morning. I'll be testing the new tuning options as they become available.

Don't forget the other little options. Most tuners allow for speedometer calibration due to wheel or gear changes and they sometimes have options for traction control and shift "firmness" aka torque management.
It's going to be interesting to see how well the performance gains from the tuners compare with the Jet modules.
