I live between Nederland and Blackhawk, up on Thorodin mtn. I have a black SRT8 on order through Valley Chrysler in Boulder. Don't know when its supposed to be built though as the order is still in BX status. :sad:

Any of you guys ever go to the Mopar show at Bandimere in May? Its a lot of fun I think. Will be racing my SRT8 there this year if they get the thing delivered to me by then. :confused:
Went last spring, me and my buddy's Omni GLHS turbo ( ran 13.2 on really bald street tires...then they kicked him off the track for not having the right helmet... :mad: see you next spring!

Here in the Springs. One of two Daytona owners that I know of here. About a week after buying mine, I pulled up at a light right next to the only other one that I know of around here. We just looked at each other and smiled knowingly, like two Daytona's passing in the night :wink:

I would love to have a get together with all of the Charger owners around Colorado. Let me know if anyone is interested in a run up to Cripple Creek or Black Hawk maybe?
I was planing a run to/through Estes Park...going up through boulder/lyons and coming back through Longmont and hitting the Sonic on a sat night...Imagine the looks if a bunch of us showed up with all of the muscle cars...

That would be both scenic as well as a great ending place for showing the cars (and for sure a Diet Cherry Limeade!).

On a second note. For all LX owners (yes we Chargers are part of that pack), some local LX owners over on LXForums are trying to organize a "meet & greet" sometime in January. Possible events would be a lunch and suds at a local sports bar on a Sunday to watch some Bronco's playoff game.

If you haven't already found it, there is another forum with good info, but it is broader in scope for all LX models.... try www.lxforums.com (http://www.lxforums.com/). The colorado faction there is active and when bandimere opens for the season, they usually have a couple of informal outtings to play around.

Go Man Go #1002 here in Aurora. Have had the car since Thanksgiving. Only seen one other one on the road and that was just today over by Park Meadows. What a suprise to look out the window at work and see a daytona drive by. Did see two go man go daytona's in Fort Walton beach Florida earlier this week.

Looks like the club is getting bigger here in Colorado. There were a few Daytona's left on the lot when we picked up ours. Nice to start seeing them on the road.

Getting together sounds like a lot of fun. It's another great excuse to get out and drive this sweet car.

Picked up my black SRT8 on Monday. Hell of a car. Anyone know who drives a Red RT with a black stripe on rear quarter similar to the Daytona model? I've seen the car both around Boulder and Mead. Wondering if that stripe came from Dodge or Joe's paint shop.

Don't forget the Mopar show at Bandimere on May 7th! Its a really fun day. :)

:cool: Ok, enuff is enuff!

This is a challenge that I am throwing out. Now that the weather is nice, we need to have a meet and greet / LX car show / MOPAR get together!

There is a MOPAR club here in Colorado Springs that I know about that I am sure we can get to play along.

My suggestion is we have it either in Denver or in Colorado Springs, but I am open to having it anywhere, as long as we have it already! Denver or Springs is my suggestion only becuase they are fairly large, near the center of the state, and have many facilities that we could use.

I would be more than willing to do some leg work to get this set up.

I suggest a weekend in April or May (preferrably April, either the 2nd or 3rd Saturday. Let's vote on it!

I challenge all of you MOPAR and especially LX owners to step up!

PM me if interested and we can start a running lists on a post of all who will attend.

Hi White Thunder. I do remember your car. Hadn't seen any like wheels that before. When I left at 4:00 there was, to my knowlege only a red SRT8 still in the running. He had won two races. I left before his third so I don't know how he ended up. He isn't on this forum. I also don't know how mascott82 did in her GoManGo car.

HEMILVR, You are correct in your observation concerning the lack of chargers seen on any given day. I do know that the new Mustangs out number us Charger owners by almost 10 to 1! Those things are everywhere! I did go to delta a couple of weeks ago, I don't think they have a single Charger owner yet...unless you have plans to move back?

Here in Aurora Top Banana #1609 mods magnaflow hiflow cats, custom bent tubes to magnaflow mufflers, AEM cold air, superchips 3825, Dunlop 22s 9.5 wrapped around 22 Zenneti rims, 35% tinted windows, I have a line on great mechs, tires/wheels and exhaust systems.

Do you ever make it out to the impromtu car show on Tower and Hampden on Friday nights? It's right behind the Sonic in the parking lot. I'm going to try and make it this week, I'd love to hear those Magnaflows!

Here's a crappy video of me racing an Arapahoe Co Sheriff. Please remember the altitude is right around 6000 ft. Also, it is important to note that it was my 1st time EVER drag racing and I suck! I still managed to beat the LEO, but he had 400+ lbs of police equipment. Both are 5.7L RTs.

There was less than 100 people there that day, and even with the rain stealing about 2 hours of run time, most people were able to get 3-5 runs in. Make sure you get there early! Gates open at 4:30pm. We got there at about 4:15 and were in the middle of the line. I didn't get inspected and cleared for my 1st run until 5pm.

BTW, it's $30 per racer and $10 per spectator (spectators can ride shotgun, but no one in the back seat allowed).

Be forewarned, it's a humbling experience when you hear about all these folks on the forum running 13-14 second quarters and I can't even break into the 15's! Granted, you subtract about 1.1-1.2 seconds for altitude.

We just wanted to say "Hi" to everyone. We bought an 07 Steel Blue Metallic RT the end of May. Since then we have put 9k miles on it and love it. Only mod so far is a Mopar CAI, but I have the rear spoiler in the paint shop and should hopefully have it back and installed by Friday. We will hopefully be getting a tuner and exhaust soon.

We live in SE Aurora. We are just east of Tower & Hampden. We haven't been to the car show by Sonic yet this year, but we have the last couple of years with our 79 Trans Am (restoration in the works).

Congrats, on the new wheels, and thank you for posting, I was worried I was alone! What dealership did you buy at? Mine and yours makes a grand total of 2 2007 SRT-8's within 60 miles! Possibility of seeing it up close someday?( Mostly because, and I quote in the words of my wife and Dealer, "There is no such thing as a plum crazy srt-8!", Dealer, "chances they are real is the same chance of meeting a unicorn.")

I bought my RT from Grand Junction Dodge, and I bought the SRT from Glenwood Springs Dodge. They just had their grand opening about a month ago and Chrysler gave them one of the Plum Crazy's for their grand opening. I spend a lot of time in Junction, so we'll have to get together. I'll PM you next time I head west...do the same if you head up this way.

All the proceeds are going to a local homeless shelter who does great work on helping the needy with food, clothes and learning to read programs!
