Use of factory Sirius antenna?

Does anyone know if it is possible to use the factory Sirius antenna with an external Sirius unit? The reason being is I replaced my factory cd player which had the built in Sirius with a Pioneer. I have a Sirius Smartplay and dont want to use the antenna they give you, I dont want to have two antennas on my car. If it is possible to do, where is the end of the antenna? I pulled down the headliner in the rear and it looks like the wire leads to the driver side. Pleas help.

yes you can use the ant on the new pioneer/but your radio is ready for sirus and not built in so you will need a sirus recever.

Hmmmm... have you tried to plug the factory antenna into the external unit to see if it fits?
