My 2006 Charger did not come with Sirius. It does have the NAV/6-disc CD system. I'm new to these cars and want to know the best way to put XM or Sirius in my car. Since I have the NAV system will I have to mount a seperate receiver for the XM/Sirius? If so,where's a good place to mount the XM/Sirius receiver?

I Put the new receiver in the glove box... Its not big and you can stash it there or mount it. My brother has the charger and he put his behind the fold down seat. unfortunantly you wil have top buy the receiver. You can find them online for less than 75. have seen them for as low as 50. i paid 100 for it last year.

You can also order the sirius kit from mopar. It will allow sat rad as if it came from the factory.

You mean, I can use the existing NAV headunit? This would be exactly what i'm looking for.

Yes. MoparSupercenter.com has what you need to work with your EXISTING radio:
82210431 Installation Kit
82208881AA Sirius Satellite Radio System
Call them and make sure these are correct!

I just bought the necessary components myself yesterday. I woulda installed it myself if it weren't for the fact that I'm under the impression I need to bring the car to a Dodge dealership to have the car StarScanned to activate the satellite option. Seeing as the car's in the dealership for repairs, I asked 'em to quote me for the install, minus the antenna. I'll letcha know what happens

Well, the tech at my dealership has never installed one before, so he wasn't sure how long it'd take. I told him that if simple joes like us on this site could do it in a coupla hours (and brag that the 2nd time around wouldn't take more than 30 minutes), it shouldn't take a genius such as himself more than 1 hr LOLOLOL.
I'm picking up the car tomorrow, we'll see if they managed to screw it up...
