Need Help from people with knowledge.... HOMELINK INSTALLATION QUESTION

Well, some of you might know that I bought an overhead console for my chager that has homelink module.... I have the console´s pigtail and I know I need to add power to the thing.... THERE ARE FIVE CABLES... I need to know which ones to connect... any help from any one like Sound@security that I know for sure does this for a living would be great

cable's or do you mean wires? didnt they give you the wire lay out? how many botton's are there? and what color are the wires? the wires are pluged into the console already right? i think there is a thread on this and how to hook it up. i look and try to find it. i have never do a factory dode so i dont know the wire set up-but i do use after market ones-lets try and find the lay out before we guess and mess it up. glh8 should know were to find that thread.

Whoops sorreeeeee, I meant wires!.... they did not give me the wire layout... there are 3 buttons... (you mean buttons right?) and here is a thread on how to do it:

I did as per instructions but it did not work... I think Im not sending the right pulse to the right wire :S Ive conected the 5 wires to the a-pillar and the result? The buttons illuminate green (all 3 of them) while I hold one... then they shut off.... The green illumination goes with the instrument cluster...
I think I should mention that I do not have EVIC but a lot of people have stated that this thing just needs power!....
Who has homelink? what happens when you press a button on homelink? do they just show up on the EVIC? or do you get a visual response from the buttons themselves?
