Did they cut the frame and shorten the car or something? It looks shorter then a regular Charger....but being as that I do not own a Charger I could be wrong.

The Challenger had better not look like a bad photochop on wheels!
It should look *gasp* like a DIFFERENT car.

I've got to say that out of all the pictures posted of Chargers, Superbee06 is the cake topper. Man - that thing is sweet. I can just see people trying speed up or slow down to try and get a glimpse of that thing.
Nice ride!!

This was built in just under two weeks by staff of West Coast Customs in Los Angeles, CA. The "frame" and body had 8 inches removed from it and they added 8 inches to the front doors. Feel free to ask any other questions about the car, I'm very good friends with both the marketing department at DEI and also the owner/employees of WCC.

man that looks freaking awsome. U know how much something like that would cost? And is the challenger really coming out or is it just rumor?

I saw the General Lee in person at SEMA and it looked great. WCC did an amazing job with the car.

They are ugly and way overdone

Hey guys, we built the car in a few weeks at West Coast Customs. All was done in house. Car was shortened, roof was lowered, doors were streched, interior redone, etc, etc. We got a great response from the public...no word from Chrysler on a 2 Dr. yet. Personally, i love it...i'm a little biased though. We also had 2 300c 2Drs at the show...one vert from last year and a new coupe for this year.

you got any pics of the interior?
I agree about the wheels, some black 18 inch five spokes would do, I mean those wheels and tires just don't look suited for back country dirt roads and jumping over pesky construction sites in town. Wish they would have painted the General Lee above the doors as well. Black grill would have been better, but I like the car. Does the trunk have a rack for the compound bows and dynamite?

They need to make it look like your car and not that abomination.
Once Chrysler decided to go new wave instead of old school like the 99 show car then the General should have been off the table.
It simply doesn't match the new lines.

01-18-2006, 10:02 PM
The only think I like its the grill! Thinking of putting one on my sxt...
I am not one for 2 doors either, I am a big guy and it's a pain in the ass to get out everytime someone wants in. However, I don't mind the look of the WWC Charger, would be neat to see those as options for the people who want more of a "sport" car.

I think making a new 4dr charger into a General Lee can be done with some success. But I'm not a fan of all the attempts made so far. I think people are trying too hard. (or too little)
IMHO A good '06 General Lee would at least consist of:
Install the black hexagon grille.
Install black grille crosshairs.
Install a classic "Charger" script in the grille.
Tint the lights.
Install classic looking spoke-like rims. (not chrome. The General didn't have bling.)
Install Police edition push bar.
Install Dixie horn system.
Paint the dang thing the right color orange.
Slap on the decals (yes, including the Flag)
DON'T TINT THE WINDOWS!
Anything else after that is just gravy. No need to dull down the inside. Give him all the trimmings. GPS, UConnect, 6 CD changer...the whole 9 yards.

Hate it, absolutely hate it! Takes away the streamlines from our chargers, and makes it look like a kid cutting a square door in a cereal box. Just doesn't fit, looks .... STUPID.

This 2 door version looks cool. I hate those gangsta looking grilles, though. The wheels also were too much. I'm so tired of the General Lee...
If they installed the Daytona grille, and put on the SRT 5 spoke rims, it would look killer. And it needs to be black!

YUCK!!! Looks sooooooooo much better as a 4-door. Ya know, when they first announced that the Charger was going to be produced, but it would only be offered as a 4-door, I was dissapointed. But now that they grew on me (so much that I ran out last Tuesday and bought one!) I'm glad that it's only a 4-door. Plenty of leg-room in the back for passengers, plus, I just like the look. It's a bad-ass looking car no matter how you look at it. Umm, err, as long as you don't look at those ugly 2-door pics.

I disagree..
This is what a two door charger should look like.. and does look like.. and should remain and not come back.

Ditto. That's what it shoulda looked like to begin with. A four-door Charger is downright sacrilege. What's next, a four-door Mustang?
Don't get me wrong, I love my Charger. Enough to buy a Dodge although I'm a card-carrying GM fanatic. But, it don't make me feel like a 40 something man with a midlife crisis (which I am lolol) when I pull up at customer's place to quote a job (which is how I'd look and feel if I'd bought a new Challenger for work-related travel).
At least Dodge got it right with the Challenger.

Very well said! I personally like the Charger and I am a 2006 Musatng GT owner, but I wish they would have had made it in a 2 door and called the existing "charger" something different. If that dodge looked like the one in that link, I would be buying one tomorrow. +1 on the 4 door mustang; could you imagine?

I agree with the above. I do believe the 4 DR Charger looks great, but should not be called a Charger. The pic that Italian posted is what I would have liked to seen. Also, I believe the General Lee should be able to rest in peace. Throwing an orange paint job ons something and calling it the General is getting old.

Wheelbase of a Monaco but the length and width of a Coronet
The car is too narrow and doesn't seat 6 - Coronet!

I bought the Charger because it's a 4 door. I used to have a sweet Camaro but I hated having people climb over the seats to get in and out. Now they can get in & out and I stay where I belong - in the drivers seat!

How many more mods on the exterior does it need? A full body length reduction, extended front doors, chopped top, dropped, Asanti 24's, shaved off door handles, tinted tails, custom paint job.... your right, they didn't put enough into this car.
