View Full Version : I got STRIPPED by Stripper Motorsports!

Last April (yes almost a year ago) I replied to a post by Stripper Motorsports looking to "borrow" a 6.1 intake to develop a nitrous system for it. I agree to send them my new in the box spare 6.1 intake, and they agree to do the nitrous plumbing for free and make me a deal on the nitrous kit. They also want to CNC the TB and dyno test it, then send me back the CNC TB at no cost to me. Sounds like a good deal to me.

Well I get my intake back less TB and missing parts from the nitrous system.

Missing parts:
TB
2 purge kits
Fuel pressure safety switch

The kit also arrived with high pressure (58 psi) jets and I told them many times I needed low pressure (10 psi) jets. I even talked to Brad a bunch about my fuel system plans, so he knew exactly what I was doing.

After a bunch of calls, emails and excuses I get 1 purge kit.

More calls, emails and excuses gets me the 2nd purge kit.

At this point they wanted a set of CNC 6.1 heads, so as a show of good faith I send them out the heads and let them mail me a check. Well after many calls and emails I finally get a check, and it BOUNCES! Another round of calls and emails and they did cover the check and my cost on the fees.

I still never got the TB, fuel pressure safety switch, or the right jets. For a while they made excuses then just quit returning my calls, emails, and posts online.

After a few months I had to just buy the parts from someone else.

TB $175
Fuel Pressure Safety Switch $40
Nitrous Jets $225

Total $440

If they don't want to reimburse me for what I spent (no I will not take a check) then they can send me the parts and I will use them on another project or something.

That really sucks, you called a lawyer?? Try getting a lwayer to send them a letter outlining what should be done for restitution and threaten further action if they dont respond. Give them 60 days, if no reply send another giving 30 days. Then take them to court. You may get a reply from them trying to avoid legal action. Worth a try. Good luck, hope you get your moneys worth back.

While we are looking into this issue it should be brought to light that there are a few things that should be disclosed. Beast2, owns a company that is in the same business that we are. So he might see that trashing our name on this forum as a benefit. He also has a total of 9 posts.

This story has some truth and some inaccuracy in it.
1.) Scott was a customer and we did supply services and parts to him.
2.) We did bounce a check to him last year and immediately made good on it plus covering any fees that he had from it. We had a problem and we took care of it ASAP.
3.) Nitrous jets do not cost $225
4.) We shipped all parts to Scott at his shop. We did ship him the wrong fuel pressure switch originally but then made good on it and got him what he asked for.

Our company always works to provide good customer service. This problem has been addressed last year. I believe Scott is bringing this up to tarnish our companys name.

Scott, if you feel that we owe you anything still please call me and we can go over what you feel you still are missing. I will be more than happy to go over your issues with you.

I listed in detail what I am still missing. Nitrous jets are +/- $5 each x 48 jets, you do the math.

I never got ANY fuel pressure switch.

Yes I own a HEMI related business, but we are not direct competitors, you sell bolt on's and I sell hardcore race parts.

If you want to show the public this issue was resolved, post the tracking numbers for everyone to see. I can also post the numerous emails I sent about this and we'll see who's innacurate and who is not.

He also has a total of 9 posts. Now he has 10...you have 21...And?...That doesn't expose validity either way.

Scott did you a pretty big favor in letting you R&D on his manifold, in order for you to develop something that will create revenue for your companies future. You should be thanking him regulary and praising his good faith in doing this...also, making sure your end of the deal is met to his expectations. Bouncing a check, shorting him promised parts, and not communicating with him isn't the way to install confidence in potential customers.

I hope you guys get this resolved, and i'm sure Scott will man up and tell the public how it turns out.

Good luck to you both.

I have never heard of a base N2O kit that comes with 48 jets - which gives out that many jets out of the box?

The average NX wet kit comes with 12 jets.
Zex's online catalog photos shows 6 jets.

I should also point out that just because individual jets cost $5/ea on E-Bay doesn't mean that's what they're worth - you can buy complete jet packs for significantly less $/jet than that.

I absolutely will.

These guys disappeared from the online forums for a while or I would have done this much sooner. There are numerous posts that went unanswered from them about my parts.

I noticed yesterday they popped back up so I cam looking for answers.

Yes I am new here, but I am not new to the HEMI internet forums in general.

I've been around a long time and the people that know me will tell you that I'm a straight shooter and I don't need to bash these guys to better myself, or my comapny. We have a great reputation and great customer service. < off topic comment removed by admin >

These guys jacked me around, plain and simple.

Check bounced, sent an email to Brad on 7/6/2006.

Recieved PARTIAL payment via paypal on 7/17/2006. (That's 11 days later, not really ASAP in my opinion.)

Recieved another payment via paypal on 8/3/2006. (That's 28 days from the first email and 17 days from the first payment, again not ASAP either.)

There was still a balance on what they agreed to cover but I was so fed up by this point I considered myself lucky to get anything and let it go.

FWIW the last time I emailed these guys about all this was 11/9/2006 and got no response yet...

I purchased an 8 nozzle fogger system from them. Each nozzle takes 2 jets = 16. The kit is supposed to come with 3 hp levels (100 hp, 200 hp, and 300 hp I think) so that's 48 jets total.

The jets were available in an 8 pack for $35 per pack. I bought 6 packs of jets @ $35 each plus shipping = $225.

Yes master jet kits are cheaper, but come with 2 of each jet. I needed 8 of each size.

I called and spoke to Ryan, he seems like a really nice guy. He is going to see what he can do from his end and call me back.

Glad to hear it...Sometimes it's not the situation, it's the person handling it. Let us know how it turns out.

I think stripper motorsports is really a good company. There was just a fluke with communications between the two parties.

We would like to see some new products from stripper motorsports.

Thanks,

I just ordered and received my full Corsa Exhaust from them. A little late, but I guess a guy quit that took my order. They promised to 2 day express mail it to me for free. They kept good on the promise and I received my order, Wednesday.

Well, sorry to hear about your past issues, and I hope it all worked out in the end.

I for one had nothing but great service & prices from them, I ordered my Mopar CAI from them a few months ago with no issues, and I just got my Superchips Flashpaq unit from them, overnight at no additional charge...not to mention, they gave me a sweet price on the unit...and I was totally surprised to see it at my door the next day!

They are a worthy vendor here in my opinion.....
