Air Hammer No Show

Well I placed an order for an Air Hammer Feb 1. It hasn't arrived yet and I can't get any reply to my e-mail’s. What do you think? Am I being too impatient to get hammered? Anyone else purchase the hammer? How long does it take?
With no website, no phone# and emails not being answered I’m getting nerves. I like supporting the little guy but now I'm afraid :pray:

there have been some changes at Hammer Motorsports... Scott has added a new guy, his name is Lance and his handle at LXforums is wheelife. PM him to get the lowdown.

Scott is no longer dealing with customers directly from what I understand. I'd give that guy a PM letting him know the situation. Also how did you place an order? Paypal, check ete... They have about a 2-3 week leadtime, so if you sent personal check chances are you will be getting it this week.

i am waiting too. rev sent me an email last week telling me had some things on his plate and was going to try to ship this week. i am not worried yet his rep speaks for itself.

I think getting impatient waiting for an AH is pretty common! Mine took almost a full month to arrive, which was painful, but I didn't want anything else, so it was definitely worth the wait... Also, like the other posts indicated, Scott is dealing with a couple of pretty big changes in life/business, so there may be some delay, but you'll get it!

he doesnt make them one at a time. he waits for a bunch of orders, then gets the parts, then makes the product.

this happens with small companies. they cant afford to have all the parts on hand like a bigger guy who can front all that cost.

Mine took awhile as well (and this was before his alleged divorce). For whatever it's worth though, he seems to be a stand-up guy. Try to be a little patient and I'm sure he'll come thru for you:)

Just a note for you guys, for what it's worth, from me.

I've met Scott a few times in person, and have had many long discussions with him on a wide array of topics. I've had ample opportunity to understand his personality, as well as his convictions and ethics. I can't emphasize enough of his qualities as a person. He's one of the most honest, caring, straight up, and respectable individuals I could ever introduce anyone to. (Also one of the funniest... ;))

If he was an accountant, I'd trust every penny I have with him. You guys have nothing more to worry about with him than time. There's not one "ill-willed" bone in his entire body. :)

Just to sumarize, the guy manages to get a bunch of strangers on a forum to pitch in a bunch of money to buy him a car, then he decides to start a business selling a overpriced intake to the very same people, and now people have trouble getting their products from him or muchless a reply email or contact. All this and there are still many who suckle at his tit and will kiss the ground he walks on as he can do no wrong. I find it remarkable. I have no opinion either way as I have never met the guy but he must be one hell of a dude.

If this was GSM or any other vendor people would be calling for them to be banned. I hope all the faith is well placed.

I have always thought the thing looked hideous. It may or may not add a couple of hp, but to raise the hood and look at that oversized cornucopia just
does not add to the hemi image. IMHO.

kalbc - Yes he is a hell of a guy. And you always seem to have some issue with the fact that some people got together and helped him get a car. Not bought it for him, but helped him with a down payment.

His intake is hand made from SS and well thought out and oddly enough actually makes some power. Hell it is has a money back deal on it.

He is moving his wife back to her mom's and he has to deal with a lot of personal life stuff as well as his Joe Job. He has brought on Wheelife to help him out. These intakes are not kept 20 or 30 deep in inventory. He does batch production runs.

Also I would like to point out he has been more helpfull and supportive to more people on LXF that you could ever hope to be, maybe thats why people goto bat for him and you know helped him get his car. Shocker how karma work eh ?

For those that are waiting in an AirHammer, give Scott and Wheelife a little more time and I am sure things will get ironed out. If it comes down to it contact them both on LXF and they will get back with you as fast as they can.

Wow, I didn't know this Forum had been around long enough for the Vendors to have been here for years. I don't believe it has. I don't own an Air Hammer nor have I ever done business with them. But it seems a lot of others here have and think highly of them. Things come up and problems arise and for the small guy building parts on the side while juggling a regular job and life, things can get hectic. Add in some of the other things that are going on and it just gets worse. Give him a break and lets see what happens. You seem to have some issues with them, even though you've never bought from them. Maybe because no one here helped with your down payment. I don't know, only you do. And as far as MomsR/T. He and Steve have been highly helpful to a lot of LX"rs. I don't know anything about a conspiracy, but I was quite surprised to see they weren't welcomed over here. It was obvious. They've been an asset over at the LX forum.
