2007 Fantasy Racing Game

I've looked on ESPN, and they had a 2006 fantasy racing game called Stock Car Challenge (which was sponsored by Toyota :lol: ), but I haven't seen anything for a 2007 game.

So, I set up a league on Yahoo! All you need to do is have a Yahoo! ID. If you don't have one, it's free to get one.

To join the group, you need the Group ID (ChargerForums.com) and the password (cf_fantasy_cup). I used my CF screen name for my team name.

The game is pretty easy. You have 3 groups of drivers...2 in group A, 4 in group B, and 2 in group C. For each race, you select 1 of your drivers in group A, 2 from group B, and one from group C.

Here are the scoring details:

Each driver can receive a maximum of 90 fantasy points during each race. The top 45 finishers receive points, with the winning driver getting the maximum 90 and other drivers receiving two fewer points for every spot they finish behind the leader - i.e. the second-place driver 88 points, the third-place driver gets 86.
You receive the total points earned by all active drivers on your team provided that they have not already been active in nine races (see the Maximum Starts section for more information).

Bonus points are awarded to each of the drivers with the four best starting positions after qualifying. The top qualifier receives 10 bonus points, the second receives five, the third receives three and the fourth receives one. Because qualifying for Daytona 500 is broken up over two days, these bonus points will NOT be awarded for the Daytona 500.

An additional 10 bonus points are awarded to each driver who leads at least one lap during a race. The driver leading the most laps during a race will also earn another 10 bonus points. To earn these bonus points for your fantasy team, a driver must be on your team and active during the race.

If a race is officially cancelled, no fantasy team will receive any points for that race. All other scoring rules stay the same. If qualifying or a race is delayed or postponed, no points will be awarded until it is completed.

There is also a fantasy game that will be coming out on NASCAR.com, but it is a bit more in depth. If there is enough interest in that one, I'll set us up a group when it is available.

You can change your team name if you'd like to by going to the "my team" page and next to your team name should be an "edit" link. Click it and it will take you to the "edit team info" page. You can change your team name there if you wish. I did it with mine.

i am not so sure he is going to have an incredible year....i want him to have a great year just not sure.......

Stremme is an A$$. The wife and I were at the Auto Club 500 Fan Festival the thurs before the race. This a$$ drinking his Coors Light dissed my wife and not letting her get his sig. We were the last ones. The event was so we could get to mingle somewhat with the drivers. there was no one else who wanted his sig. We did, he is a charger driver. With that aside the race weekend was great.

No Kidding. Waltrip has just been horrendous. I almost feel sorry for him. Even one of his other drivers Dale Jarett would not have made any of these races if it was not for his champion provisionals. Toyota thus far has been a complete flop.

I got to see my totals but it's wrong, I had Gordon, Kyle Busch, Hamlin, and Stremme picked and they total 324. My total on the site is 226 I was a little curious when I picked the 2nd 3rd and 4th place finishers and dropped 2 spots. Anyone know how I can get this checked/fixed?

I think he's a hell of a driver, but he's had a bad attitude in every series he's been in. I used to see some of the stuff he did in the IRL and just wanted to get him a tissue to cry in. He's getting better and I like him, but he seems to have flash backs.

I try to give him the benefit of the doubt, and I think he is one of the best drivers, but he's still a butt-head in my opinion. Of course so is my driver (Kurt Busch - only because he drives the 2 car). I miss Rusty.
