Unbelievable!! Ok so, First he sends a damaged envelope ripped with nothing in it 39 cent stamp but charged 6 bucks shipping. Then says as a courtesy he'll send the emblems out again. He sent a piece of cardboard!! LIAR, beware! The sad part is I did this against my better judgment ONLY b/c he was a member of this forum which has grown to be a multiple everyday visit for me just to read stories shoot the shh..well you know. Mad was I duped. I opened a claim with paypal I'll see what happens.

Crooks, scam artists and opportunists are a dime a dozen. They are everywhere and it's not surprising with as many members there are here in the forum. There's bound to be a few lurking around.

Thanks guys. Yeah this sucks. I'm out 93 bucks  . I did give him a negative itrader rating but by the looks of his ebay account that doesn't work. Man I should have expected this when he didn't leave me positive feedback for paying quickly. Wife is not happy, I got the "I told you so speech", thanks babe very constructive :( . I guess that what I get for trying to copy a fellow member emblem mod LOL. :D

Oh I also wouldn't do business with a company called PC Overhaul, they might not be trusting for the same reason as well.

What a scumbag!!!! Always some f*** stain out there that doesn't want to work. So, they try and dupe the folks that work hard and earn an honest living. Too many bottom feeders wanting something for nothing:fuming:

You know what? To those of you who are bottom feeding POS's that don't want to work and steal from people, EAT S*** AND DIE!!!

well since you disputed with paypal letting them know you did not receive the item, paypal will reverse the transaction soon enough. might take a week or two. good luck!

Funny you should mention that! I was recently scammed by a fellow member also - who is now using my engine covers for free, since he decided he didn't need to pay for them once he was banned from the forum. I tried to provide trusting customer service, by shipping these out with the promise that a check was in the mail. He was the first one I did this for, and I got screwed! Right in your backyard too, near West Palm Beach.....

Firstly, to potsyboy, I wish you the best in resolving this!

To All...
This has led me to update the forum rules for Buy/Sell to include a "No ebay links" clause. Please REPORT violators!
I have also stickied Buy/Sell Rules above both of the selling sections of that forum.
Hopefully this will help, but in the end there are dishonest people, there are no guarantees, and you deal there at your own risk.

I also want to remind everyone that the purpose of this Review section is to share personal first-hand experience. I have stickied rules here as well.
Please don't use negative reviews as an excuse to jump on a bandwagon and bash whomever you feel is wrong, especially when we've only heard one side... worse yet, don't offer some sort of vigilante justice, even as a joke; that only detracts from the credibility of this section.

-Thank you

Again, thanks for the support & sry to hear that I'm not the only one who has fallen into a scam over the internet.

Hemeee, just wanted to say that IMO if you feel you need to move this thread then I would think you would also have to move all the other threads pertaining to vendors on/off this forum, and all the dealerships deals that are discussed hear that went sour. My understanding is that this is an informational site in a public forum venue and to that effect, it has has been very helpful to all I would think. I don't recall dealerships signing up and defending themselves on a one-sided story everytime something negative is said.
Now, while I applaud your effort in trying to alert people of the "caveat emptor" phrase this will not solve anything. However, since there are rules that can be adjusted on this forum how about a 250-500 post limit before you can sell something? I don't think too many people will want to consume time getting that many posts in order to scam someone. And this way members at least members can track if a seller is just getting his posts up to be able to sell. Why not a forum vote?

In no way am I suggesting that any rule/regulations or threats of torture will stop people from being low-life scam artist however,...it might help.

And in addition there would I also think that creating this product vendor review section severely dilutes the purpose of having an open forum. While I enjoy going to the SRT8 section for specific 6.1L problems and I also go to the General discussion every visit to see what I might be missing. Isn't a forum dedicated to chargers then specifically v6 and 6.1L then further with interior/exterior sections and off-topic areas for random rants and stories enough?

Lastly, thank you. I hope this gets resolved as well.

Best regards,

Potsyboy

Each forum section houses a specific type of discussion in order to keep the board organized. General Discussion is for threads about Chargers and this section is for vendor reviews, which is what your thread is about. The very reason ekool opened the Review section in September, is because the MEMBERS requested it! In my closing post in the Buy/Sell thread where your problem originated, I had suggested that you post a review here and use the iTrader system, so it made sense that readers there would look here for a follow-up thread. As for other threads that haven't been moved? We try to move threads found in a wrong section as time allows, but with over 30,000 threads, it would be impractical to go back and move old threads because a new forum is created.

Anyway, Potsyboy, I was trying to help you and the readers. I think you completely misunderstood my post and for that I'm sorry.
