Forgive me for my ignorance, but I have been reading about this TCM Flash thing on many forums. What is this exactly and why are dealerships doing it for free? Is this something all Chargers should get? Is it for the 3.5?

I think you should talk to spoonerock about this one. It was originally developed as a fix for the 1-2 shift problem with the SRT8 Charger. There are some positives and negatives that go with this flash when you apply it to the 3.5L. This will affect you differently depending on what your driving habits are.
