<p>I just recently purchased a double din 6.5" screen dvd radio. I'm going over the wires I need to wire into the XSVI-6502 harness I bought for the install. I noticed that the radio harness has a (Front panel key light control).. I guess this is the light switch that will turn on the panel lights when I turn the interior / headlights on. Where will this wire hook up to?

nevermind... I see the that xsvi-6502 has the wire I need to hook it up to.. Now the question is do I just hook up all the wire on the radio harness to the xsvi-6502 and plug it into the main harness and it all should work right..

Are you using PAC harness C2R-CHY? If you're not, your factory amp (if you have one) will not turn on... and you will have no sound....

How would I know if I need the C2R-CHY? I ordered the following http://www.crutchfield.com/S-1bWg2uZFxQd/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=751&tab=essential_info&i=120706504#Tab from crutchfield just in case will this work?

Well... that looks like it would work but it specifically states that it will bypass you factory amp... What car do you have? Do you have sterring wheel controls? Do you have a Boston Acoustics sound system, or the kicker system?

Well all I know is that I have a 06 dodge charger SXT. I have a single cd player with 6 speakers. I just hooked up my radio and guess what no sound. Now what do I do?v Also I don't have steering controls.

Okay - without sterring wheel controls.... you just need C2R-CHY - This will tell your amp to turn on.... Make sure you get the latest revision of the unit which is "Latest Revision: 1.4.13" Here's where I bought mine - only $81.00 - http://www.audiowarehouse.peachhost.com/ct_CGoemproducts.htm
Just scroll down until you see C2R-CHY -
Also - I haven't seen this in any car stereo store I've been to... If you don't want to wait for it to be shipped to you... Take a drive... you are in Paterson, NJ... and Audiowarehouse is in Lodi, NJ.... less than 10 miles away right? Audiowarehouse

Quick question on the adapter... Will I have to splice into the amp to make this adapter work? Or will I have to connect it just to my aftermarket radio harness?

Just connect to your aftermarket radio harness....

we have had bad luck with the pac part at my shop making engine noise in the system after a couple of months. we have had better luck with axxess part #chry-01. it has 4 high level and 4 low level in puts so u have true 4 way fade and balance. its made by metra. www.metraonline.com

The ones I've purchased from Audio Warehouse where the lastest software version - "rev. 1.4.13" They're asking $81.25 for the harness plus $15.00 for shipping - for a total of $ 96.25.
To date I have had absolutly no engine noise from any of PAC's products as stated above. Engine buzz would mean a bad wiring connection or failure within the harness itself... Either way -- no problems for me.
