I just purchased a new SRT-8, and was wondering what you guys use to detail your cars. I have always used meguiars 3 step (cleaner, polish, protectant) followed by meguiars #16 or 26 on my other vehicles and it works great. Just wondering what others do/what their system is...

I use Zaino! And I absolutely LOVE it. The more I use, the shine gets better and longer lasting.

I use Meguiars gold, but I need to make sure the paint is very clean before I put it on. Meguiars gold has very little polish in it. Some waxes have more polish in them for cleaning and providing shine.
If I have any scratches in the clear coat, I use 3M Perfect-It II. It's a fine rubbing compund. I then follow up with 3M Finish Restore. It's a great polishing compound.

which zaino products do you use? i have never tried it or looked into it, but im just wondering what your process is with the zaino. from reading their website, it seems like a wonderful product. How long will it last?

I've never used Zaino, simply because I won't devote the time that it takes to do it right. Wax is kinda like motor oil, everybody has a favorite and most of them are OK. I use Formula 113 on the Daytona because of the decals. But I've also started using it on my Marauder because it doesn't leave any powdery residue, and I can use it on the black trim strips around the windows, and on chrome.
Part of your decision will need to be based on the car's environment, how often you wash it and how, etc. A car that sits outside and is washed a lot or is taken thru a commercial car wash will need more protection than one that sits in a garage and is very seldom driven in bad weather, like mine.
I used to be a die-hard Meguiars fan, but that changed when I tried their NXT wax. I hated it. So now I've branched out a little more and have tried other brands.

Go with Zaino, it is not a fast process and will take u a good part of a day to do it right but is will worth the time.
Here are a couple pics and these were taken almost 4 months after the Zaino was applied with no recoats.

Good car wash, clay bar if it needs it, dry, Zaino. Not that complicated unless its the first time you're using it. If its the first time, or once a year, I use the accelerator with it and apply 3 coats on that day.
You wouldn't believe how easy stuff comes off this car with Zaino on it... dirt, bird droppings, sap. I won't use anything else again.
