I have been seeing these mats for the deck lid. You know, the ones that you see when the trunk is open. I thought I would fabricate myself one. This is my first try. I'm not 100% satisfied. I thought I would share some pics and get your input. Be gentle. : )

WOW. Really like the concept and the look. If it were me, I'd make the mat conform to the top of the lid too, by the latch, to give it a more finished look. I think I'd also go with a smaller Charger logo as well... maybe the old school script to go with my emblems... something like this...

Here's the one I did a few nights ago. It deffinately looks better to cover the entire trunk. Your's looks nice though. SRT8U... yes... you have deffinately started something here. You were my inspiration. I am having a mirrored plexiglass "SRT8" made to go on the middle.

No prob. Yours looks great. What did you use. As I said this is the proto-type. I have been racking my brain to come up with a better material. The next one will have more coverage. I bought the cloth on ebay and used some left over suede from my seats to make mine. I need a more flexible material. Kinda like yours, if you're willing to give up your secret.

I have never got the concept of putting TV's in the trunk or hatch or in the door panels in a car, what do you really stand around outside and watch them. Seems like a waste to me.

The main reason usually for TV's in any odd places like that is for car shows. It just another way to make the other persons car stand out from the rest. I myself wouldn't do such a thing because it's just a waste of money for something that wont be even seen or used till I park or show off.

I like all of 'em......... in fact, since Jina's did my interior embroidery, I was actually in discussion with them about doing this same mod but going with the old script style 'Charger' and the 'R/T' below it in the HEMI orange threading, I'll have to forward this thread to them and see what they think. ME? I think it's simply sharp all the way around........ semi-carpeted, completely carpeted, with or w/o the logos, absolutely a nice finishing touch indeed! Yet another mod to add to my list!

The guy on ebay is MIA. :( He took alot of guys money, and delivered nothing. We should find a shop in Metro DC who can make one....
