Im trying to install a avic-z1 as i usually try to do these things myself, but i never had to deal with that pink speed input wire. Can someone help me locate it please.

im not positive but I think if you get the PAC-C2R (i think thats the model number) itll have the speed input wire and such. i think i read that somewhere. youd need it to bypass the factory amp anyway.

what factory system do u have? and never by pass the factory amp! use the pac interface as it interfaces with the factory amp and gives u a switched power wire that the factory harness does not have. the pink wire has to be hooked up or the navi arrow will not travel with u in real time as your car is moving.

the pink wire must go to the dark green and brown wire at the pcm which is on the passenger side fire wall. i strongly advise you take it to a shop to have them install it for u altho most shops are getting around $200 to install this unit. DO NOT PROBE ANY OF THEWIRES AT THE PCM WITH ANY THING LIKE A TEST LITE!!!!!! A A.S.E INSTALLER WILL HAVE THE RIGHT METERS TO CHECK FOR THE RIGHT SPEED SENCE WIRE!!

I guess ill try that pac-c2r thing then, when i saw the price on cardomain it turned me away cause im use to 10-20 dollars for a harness. If all else fails i always got the shop i guess.
