I cant decide what to get. mainly cause Im not sure where I wanna go with it. Main thing is Ipod. I dont need full integration an aux in will suit me fine. But full integration would be nice. Also I wanna add subs to get more bass. I cant decide if i wanna do all the speakers over or not cause I had MB Quart all the way around in my old car and loved it.

Factory Nav $800
Alpine $720
Pioneer $1500

Factory Nav....Navigation and 6 disk for a cheap price but no preouts for replacing all speakers. Cant do factory Uconnect (no a-pillar connector), ipod integration not ready yet

Alpine - Dvd player, Preouts, Fast full ipod integration, no nav without $1100 addon (ive heard the blackbird dock is horrid and lags real bad) Bluetooth module is bad and not worth it.

Pioneer - Dvd Player, Nav, preouts, decent bluetooth, Slowwww ipod integration, Overpriced

so basicly my question is which route should I go, is it possible to get good sound replacing everything with the stock nav? Cause I like the look of stock, its one of the cheapest and has nav which I would use more then watching dvds. Sorry for the confusing post its just everytime I settle on a deck I pull back and im undecided.

You're right on the iPod part of the Z1 being slow but there are so many amazing other features it's hard to be disappointed. True, they're expensive but I would hardly say the Z1 is overpriced. The nav part is out of this world & the 7" screen blows away the stock nav screen size. If you can get a good discount on one (ebay is where I got mine, also check out avic411.com & their classified section) I highly recommend the Z1. The install kits out there make it look stock as well. I'll have pics later today if you're interested.

You could also wait until later this year for Pioneer to release their latest nav units. I forget the name (D2?) but it should drive prices of the Z1 down. I believe the Z2 is scheduled to be out around this time of 08.

Pioneer's navigation systems are second to none. Eclipse, Alpine, and all the other companies navigation have less points of interest, and are poor units, IMO.

Seen em all. I have A D2, which isnt as good as the Z1 and I love it.
