Hello,
I have a SuperBee SRT8 and would like to get the hood blacked out to more closely resemble the concept car shown by Dodge prior to the production build of the SuperBees. Some forum members have suggested I get a carbon fiber hood.
On your web page you have two different hood products. What is the difference please between the 6K Carbon Fiber hood and the 6K Race Hood? Also, do I use the parts from my original hood for the ducting or is this provided with your hood? I noticed the ducting work is not in the pictures.
Also, is it possible to have the hood squirters installed with your hood? I do not like the suggestion to use clips on the windshield wipers.
Thank you!!

The 6k carbon hood is our street version. The race hood should only be used for a track ONLY car. You can use all the ducting and heat bonet off your stock hood. You can have a body shop install the squirters in the hood if you want.

The 6k carbon fiber hood has a fiberglass inner and is designed to fold and crack crush zones in a front end collision. The race hood is 100% carbon fiber is way too strong to be run on the street. The hoods look the same from the outside but are constructed very different for each other. Most people that run the race hoods have a DOM roll cage that would prevent the hood coming into the interior in a front end collision. The race hoods are so strong that they do not break like a stock hood would.
Hope this helps,
John

That is absolutely the best explanation I have ever read. Have often wondered the difference. My hat off to you for monitoring this site and helping with technical questions. When in the market, I will certainly come to you.
