Hello guys. I just got my new 5.7L charger 2 weeks ago. I like the quite power it produces now but would really love a little more growl and of course a few more HP's. The wife and little girl will ride with me from time to time so I want to keep the drone effect to a minimum.

Has anyone looked into the 50 Series Delta Flow muffler from Flowmaster as opposed to the popular 40 Series muffler? They claim it will produce less interior noise than other mufflers. Thanks.

Congrats on the new ride and welcome.

It really depends on how much noise you're looking for (inside and out). There's a few guys on here that have flows on (including me) that have done different things.

From what I've heard from some of the other guys, keeping the resonators on will help reduce that drone. I have the Flow 40 series which were plenty loud but I ended up pulling my resonators off which boosted the growl and drone. I love it, but it is really noisy inside to some people.

As for the 50 series, I haven't heard them yet.

Super 40s, not regular 40s. Love em! Nice bassy growl.

brylcream mod (remove the suitcase) minimum drone, do a search for flowmaster
delta and 40 one, their is one guy that loved the sound of the delta, but still wanted more so went with 40's, once you remove the reso's drone will surely increase from what i have been reading

I own an Exhaust Shop in Texas and have done [2] 06 Chargers. a friends 5.7 that wanted some good sound, but not a lot inside the car. On his I installed 2 Flowmaster Super 40`s and left on the resonators....He was happy. I bought a new Black SRT8 labor day weekend and my first mod was to take off the 3 stock mufflers and install 2 Super 40`s and some nicer looking 4" rolled SS Tips. The car sounds badass. Everyone that hears the car say how good it sounds. It`s a little loud, but My blown Vette is much louder. Id say put on 2 Super 40`s and keep the resonators on. If later you want it louder, you can have a shop pull off the resonators[they`ll have to bend 2 new pipes to eliminate them.]

Check my sig for video on FM Blowby. FM 40's with reso delete. Been over a year with them (they got better sounding after a month or so). These turn Rustang owners heads when you stomp on it. Or anyone elses for that matter. Yes there is drone. Doesnt bother me.

Listen to the "ITS QIK" guy, he's correcto.........they'll be no need to drop the reso's IMO.

this has helped me a lot. thanks everyone. I was debating the Flowmaster cat-back system, but it's $500. I guess a few Super 40s and some labor time at the muffler shop will be half that cost. Can't wait to cut out that suitcase! Anyone have the part number for the Super 40s?

just got the car back after getting the tranny leak fixed....the tech was amazed on how much tranny fluid I lost! Not enough for damage, but more than he thought from the o-ring leak.
