Has anyone Creemed Magnaflow Catbacks???

I have Magnaflow Catbacks on my Charger. I have just over 600 miles. I notice when the MDS kicks on/off it bothers me a bit because I can hear it in the exhaust.

Someone may have asked this before, I have used the search option on the forum, but there's so many threads on exhaust and I haven't found an answer to this particular question...

Is this going to get any better the more miles I put on the car?

Has anyone Creemed the Magnaflow exhaust, meaning has anyone taken out the center small suitcase out and welded in straight pipes? If so, did that decrease the drone or make it sound better?

I am looking for probably what everyone here would like, and that's an exhaust system that sounds raspy and MEAN on demand, but is quiet when cruising on the freeway.

IT will make it way louder and the MDS drone will drive you out of the car!If you dont like the system now with the center muffler in you wont like it with it out its worse thats why mine came off!

Only way to stop the MDS sound is to keep it in auto stick...I had the Magnaflows on the RT I had and I hated that MDS sound..which is really just the sound of a 4cyl motor running thru V-8 pipes..It won't get better..least mine didn't over the 3,500 miles I drove it..:smoke:

I'm considering doing the same with my system but mostly because it's just too quiet. I'm also considering just removing the rear mufflers and leaving the middle muffler in for an increase in volume.

After getting some of these new mods installed if I'm still "dissatisfied" with the sound of the magnaflow, I'll probably just take it to an exhaust shop and have them install some temp pipes in the middle and the rear to see which way I like it best before going permanent with it.

Either way...I'll post up sound clips of both styles :yes:
