Press Release

Jim Shofner, President of Arizona Speed & Marine (ASM) in Chandler AZ announced today that ASM has introduced a unique supercharger kit for the HEMI 5.7L engine used in 2005/2006 Dodge Chargers, Magnums, and Chrysler 300C. In a recent interview, Shofner stated that,"Everyone who drives our demo comes back with a big smile on their face. The increase in performance is amazing and quite a thrill."

"We had to take a little different approach designing the supercharger system for the HEMI motor because of the way the stock intake manifold is designed. The stock manifold has a tube that extends nearly half way into the manifold from the throttle valve flange. This design does not lend itself to simply installing auxiliary fuel injectors directly behind the throttle valve in the air stream like other supercharger kits. On HEMI motors the stock intake manifold is designed to move air, not air mixed with fuel so the auxiliary injector design was not an option. Our design eliminates the add-on auxiliary injectors and instead includes eight larger fuel injectors to replace the stock factory units. ASM has a long standing reputation for good engineering and while this approach cost a little more it's what needs to be done on the HEMI motors in order to get proper fuel distribution and engine reliability

In addition, our design provides a large after cooler unit to maintain cooler air inlet air charge and reduce restrictions in the intake system (which further reduces inlet air temperature). The engine mounting brackets are precision CNC machined from billet aluminum and polished to match the supercharger, after-cooler and inlet ductwork. The kit from ASM includes all the parts needed to make the conversion.

Dude, I was doing a google search for "dodge charger 3.5l supercharger", flipped the image search feature and saw this picture. I though it was funny and clicked on. It brought me to this thread. LOL. I'm dying in laughter right now. Too funny!!!

That is one funny pic.....

Anyways, people have been talking about ASM's supercharger for a while now, and its been on the market for a while as well. I believe forum member Daniel Forand has one on his SRT8 charger, and so far its running well. However, I was unaware as to the fact that its only $3,775 to get a hold of one of these things. Im just not crazy about the design. It just seems like so much is going on, especially on the 5.7s where you gotta slice the engine cover in half if you still wanna use it. I know, I know. Its not about the looks, but ProCharger got a fantastic unit that hides away real nice and almost keeps the engine bay stock looking, but it is considerably more money. I wish someone could post up a testimonial of one of these units on a 5.7 like the one I posted up about my experience with ProCharger's unit on a 5.7. And Im also not crazy about the fact that there is no intercooler behind the grill or anything. Ive heard and intercooler is hands down the most efficient way to run a supercharger on these cars.
