That's right, the moment you've been waiting for. Well, maybe not the moment, but 'A' moment you may have been waiting for. If not, then what are you waiting for???

HHP is looking for test vehicles for our new line of cams. We should have our cams in as early as next week. We have two different cams that were produced for us by our master engine builders up at BES after doing their research off of the 5.7L stock cam. They determined that the current aftermarket cams including the Comp Cams just didn't cut it and they've produced two all new cams for us that are designed with the LX's version of the 5.7L in mind.

We now need two 5.7L's starting next week that are interested in having our trained DCX tech's professionally install either our Stage 1 Cam Package or our Stage 2 Cam Package. Here's the info on what each package involves:
Stage 1: (expected maximum cost around $2600 on the very high end)
- Mild cam
- B&G Flash
- Labor costs capped at $1350.00
Stage 2: (expected maximum cost around $5400 on the high end)
- Much more aggressive cam
- B&G Flash
- Required Ported & Polished Heads w/ special port job
- Required Torque Converter
- capping labor cost at $1875.00 max
Both jobs require about $250.00 to $350.00 in minor parts (bolts, gaskets, etc.) which have been added into the high end estimates. The labor costs are the maximum costs we would actually charge you for being a test vehicle - this maximum is in place barring anything unforseen in the installation of the cams where you're guaranteed not to see any unexpected costs pop up. Hopefully we can do these cam swaps much quicker but we won't know until we do one. Of course, if labor is less than our projected 18 hours for the Stage 1 or 25 hours for the Stage 2, you will be charged less in accordance. We do expect them to be less but we need to give you these worse case scenarios. If the hours sound high, think of them as 3 highly trained tech's taking 6 hours to complete the Stage 1 and eight hours to complete the Stage 2.

Horsepower numbers are unknown. We're guessing around 25 horsepower with the stage 1 and around 75 horsepower with the stage 2. Those are guesses though. We won't know actual numbers until we actually do one.

Let me know if you're interested. The test cars are getting some very sizeable discounts off their installation packages for being the test cars plus you get the honor of being the first LX in this area that I'm aware of that would be running a cam.

Thanks!
Joshua, HHP

So the cost to the vehicle owner is only the labor? or could it potentially be the list total max cost?
