Has anybody with the NAV unit just changed out their door speakers to higher quality ones, and does it make a big difference? I'm looking at getting more sound without the addition of an amp. Is it possible, or must I toss in an amp. I've got a 4x100 Rockford Fosgate laying around from my last car, so at least I wouldn't have to spend any money. I'm just worried about installing it with the NAV head unit...never worked with anything like that before.

I wanted to know this too. The whole can/bus thing confuses me. I just want a richer sound without too much hassle.

i installed the kicker upgrade speakers in the doors, and tomorrow i am going to install the pioneer deq 9200 eq, jl e6450 six channel amp to power the whole system including the 10" kicker subwoofer, it should give it more power, i am keeping my NAV head unit, but this amp is more power ful than what the car comes with, with out being obnoxiously loud...and rattling the trunk.

i personally like the way the kicker sounded as compared to the BA speakers, some people dont agree, but i guess it will be up to you...

The new Mopar/Kicker 77KICK11 premium sound upgrade is pretty cool...it replaces the doors with 6x9 woofers and dash with 3.5" two ways.... the two way 6x9 in the picture is the 77KICK06....

how do you stick those 6x9 in your doors? the doors have the 6" or 6 1/2" midbass drivers...I'm confused...the chargers come with 6 speakers...why would the upgrade kit only come with 4?

the doors in all LX vehicles (300, Charger and Magnum) are designed for 6 x 9 speakes. some early models came with 6" speakers in 6 x 9 adaptors from the factory. The 77Kick11 is a front stage up grade for premimum eqpt. cars the up grade for the rear is the 77KICK06.....all cars come with provisions for dash speakers, but not all have speakers. In fact if the car does not have premimum sound, in most cases it does not even have wiring for dash speakers..there are some exceptions....

Well I have the 07 SXT that came with 6 BA's. front dash has the 3.5" speakers, the front doors have 6" or 6 1/2" midbass drivers and the back panel has the 6x9's.

So lets say your charger came with 6 speakers and the kicker upgrade is only giving you 4 upgraded speakers...how does that work?

lol so the 6x9 go in the front doors? why would you do that? the front doors are for 6" midbass drivers and those 6x9 kickers are not midbass drivers.

The KICK11 has two 6x9 mid bass drivers and two 3.5" two way sperkers for the dash (mid/tweeter) the 6x9s do play very low but play very well up to 250hz...... the KICK06 for the rears are a two way with a 1" dome tweeter...full range.....

Fyi... 8" drivers will fit in the doors. A simple 3/4 mdf adaptor and some cutting away of the door panel internals where the speaker grills are results in a very stelth factory look.
