Thanks to Jeremy for hooking me up with the Stage II flash. Talk about customer service, Jeremy was on the road (literally driving through Utah) to SEMA while working on my order.

The 6.1 has truly come alive with this flash. It feels like the flash returned a good chunk of the power and torque that was robbed by the altitude. Don't get me wrong, the car was fast before, but now when I mash the gas, I occasionally find myself struggling to maintain bowel control.

Also thanks to TN and 2KWK4U for their early reviews of this flash.

Well, mine is on the way back to me from Dave at B&G for the second time.
Got mine through Jeremy as well. Turns out Dave imputed the incorrect VIN number, bless his heart. Only off by one digit, but enough to cause problems.
I will have mine back on Thursday.

That will do it...I typed my VIN out and triple checked it. If anything, I figured getting the VIN inputted correctly would be the only real challenge.:smoke:

Good luck--I'm sure you'll like the results.

I like it a whole bunch myself, just wish there was a way to make the 6.1L automatically shift at rev limiter like the 5.7L does. Have hit the tranny limp mode twice. Once on a wet road, and second time testing new rev limit getting on fwy.

Have Dave reset the Engine RPM from his original 6800 to 6500, that has worked for many of my customers. First gear has always been a problem with the torgue of the car and the limited tire choices.

I would, but I think Bandimere is closed for the season. Will definitely be there for the Mopar event in the Spring.

See what kind of a deal your dealership will give you. I got mine for $250. Otherwise, as others have found, you can get one online for about $265--I think retail is $354.

Yep, $265.00 at www.moparpartusa. And that includes shipping. They actually call it an ECM, but it is the same thing. It can be called either.

Man, I am glad we got that figured out! I was literally stressed on your flash not working for you. I am customer oriented to a fault it seems. I am just glad it was a simple fix.

Sincerely,

Jeremy

What does this do exactly and what needs to be shipped?

Well I got it back this afternoon via UPS. Swapped it out after I got home from work and took it for a drive. Everything works fine. Noticed the increased idle at 750 which got rid of the 600 rpm shakes. I kind of got on it
but the traffic was pretty heavy so I had to be careful. I have yet to really open it up all the way since I have owned it and I now have 2600 miles on it.
I have got to find a stretch of open road to let it rip. I basically only drive it to and from work which is always in traffic both ways. At least I look cool.
Lots of head turning stares. It did seem the 1st to 2nd shift is now normal.
I have had that jerk before. Again, until I really get on it, the car drives normal.

Hey Guys I just got back from the dealer.

My self and the service manager both were playing with the Star scan and he was arguing that I had a stock PCM, as the start scan pulled up the correct number.

There is one indication via star-scan that you have an aftermarket PCM, Its a stored code of P0633 for the SKIM module. He said he could fix it but I think he forgot(we were doing other things). I will try and get rid of this next week and report back.

My car is doing great with the Stg. 2 and I would highly recommend it from PPP.

I need this fix also. It says P0633 SKIM Secret Key Not Stored in PCM.

How will the new shift hesitation TSB affect the B&G stage II? Is it one or the other?

If you have the SRT 8 and your top priority is performance....This flash is (to date IMO) the no brainier 1st thing you should do. The car was a performer stock but the soft shifts used to really kill me...I thought that was going to be the best part of this and I would have been happy with that. However, she has more power too. With traction control off, AC off and only me in the car, from a rolling start (about 15 mph) the tires start to come loose at about 5000 RPM! Tires are good....the car is a different animal now....

So the Heads and Intake upgrade are sitting in my living room....when will I find the time to install them...?

BTW, a few good words about Jeremy...He's been an true pleasure to work with. He's easy to reach and makes the time to answer your questions. Most of all, Jeremy is good to his word.

Thanks Jeremy

If you get the TCM flash, it amplifies the hard shifts even more. I would take out the B&G if you can when going to the dealer. If you can't, then make sure to tell them NOT to update the PCM at all. The TCM flash does not touch the PCM, at least I am pretty sure it doesn't.
