I just noticed some light scratches on the radio LCD display. Any recommendations on how to get these out?
Would a paint swirl or paint scratch remover work, or just make it worse?

treat the LCD screen as if it were a computer screen... go to Staples or a comp. store and see if they have a cleaner for screens, and see if they have a scratch filler if they are that bad. hope this helps.

I had some on mine and I used the Novus scratch remover polish for plastics. Worked perfect.

where'd you get the Novus scratch remover?
I found it at a hobby store. You could try searching it on line too, I think I have seen it at www.jcwhitney.com There are 4 stages (course, medium, fine, extra fine) and I used 4 (extra fine).

I have some as well. I am trying to get a new radio since I only have had it 2 days. Good news is I have the novus already. I use it to buff acrylic fish tanks when they are scratched.

Man, this is weird. I just believed that I had bad luck. My screen had scratches all over. Glad to know that there are others. Thanks for the tip on the plastic polish.

Another tip for plastic:
Use brasso, it works WONDERS for removing ALL scratches from plastic watch crystals! I sell vintage Tag Heuer watches and it works EVERYTIME!

Try a Harley Davidson stores
Novus #1 & #2 removed the clouding from my convertible's soft plastic rear curtain.

Everyone want's to touch the danm screen, the owners manual says keep your hands off but they touch it anyway. I'm thinking of finding a clear static cover like they have for PDA"S, but it's pretty big.
Where can I get one ?

you could probably just buy the ones of a pda and trim it to fit.

I also have fine scratches on the radio display. I have some Novus #1 handy - will #1 work or do I have to buy #4? Thanks.
