Well, I literally just got back from the track and ended up having a pretty decent time. At first it didn't seem that I was really going to enjoy myself as the track prep was sucking REEEEEAAAAALLY bad. My previous best was a 9.4 @ 76.17, and that was on a 2.259 60' time.
My first couple of runs tonight with the headers and cat-back installed were 9.35s @ 77.8x all on 2.35x 60' times so I was happy that I gained a little considering my 60' times were worse, and my MPH was up considerably.
It all started going down hill though as the night progressed, even when I let the car cool for a little while. My 60' times just kept getting worse and worse, up to a 2.4, then a 2.5 and finally a 2.6  The prep was so bad that when I let off of the brake and barely feathered the gas to the floor, I was spinning the tires rediculously. So I set the car "aside" for about 15 minutes in disgust of my times and then finally decided to get one more run in. It actually turned out to be my best run of the night to that point at a 9.22 @ 77.87 and was actually able to cut a 2.2379 60' time. This got me pretty stoked so I decided to let the car rest for another few minutes and get one last run in before they closed up the track...Lucky me, it turned out to be my best run of the night (I love ending on a good note) and subsequently the best time in this car to date. Here are the run stats:
60' Time: 2.1956
330' Time: 5.9991
1/8 ET: 9.1417
1/8 MPH: 78.14
So all in all I was quite pleased at the fact that I dropped a little of 2.5 tenths off of my time and picked up 2 MPH by the mods I just got finished installing. In terms of 1/4 mile time this is about a 4 tenths gain in ET, which is pretty good for less than $500 :D
This car definately has more potential as it sits right now. I'm just waiting for the Drag Radials to come in and then I can cut some 1.9s and get pretty well into the 8s  After that it's midpipes and the AirHammer, then I should see some very decent times out of this beast (I'm thinking 8.6s - 8.7s).
I need more MODZ :knockout: :knockout: (and some traction ;))

how warm was it broc?
It was in the low 60s and the DA ended up being nearly perfect. My biggest problem still at this track is traction. I think I'll try one of the other tracks next time around, where I hear about people cutting 1.8s and 1.9s all the time on street tires. All of the guys I talked to yesterday on street tires were also cutting 2.1+ 60' times all night.

I've had a few 60's as low as 2.025, each time it has put me at 13.7 to 13.8.
Did you let any air out of your rear tires broc? Get them down to 25-30lbs at least.

Had them down to 23 psi. From what I can tell, the 60' times are due completely to the track...It's VERY slick at the starting box and I'm running the Conti-Seals. Hell I've even see a guy with 315Nitto Drag Radials out there cut nothing better than a 2.15 and that was with one of the new saleen mustangs.
There's a track a little further from me that I hear is one of the stickiest tracks around. I may try that one out next time around to see if there's any way to cut good 60's on these tires, and if I'm unfruitful, then I've got no choice but to get the Drag Radials:D
...What mods do you have again??? And what were your 1/8th mile times on those 1/4 miles you have listed? EDIT: Never mind...I just checked the et database over at lx and found your stats. That is one STOUT charger you've got there for those mods man. I think with a similar 60' time, I'd be close to where you're at but I'm sure you'd still edge me out.

Broc,
Awesome. It's gotta be a lot of fun to put all that effort into boosting the HP and feeling it in the butt dyno but MUCH more rewarding to actually post significantly better #'s.
In order to be fair in comparing, do you remember the temps outside when you did your previous runs? Engine temps and outside air temps make such an enormous difference in performance. 4/10's is a huge gain in the 1/4 that equates to roughly a 40 hp gain, everything else being equal. I'll bet you gained a good 20+hp with your changes but 40 hp would be really tough.
Also, have you found it helpful to do a brief burnout to warm up the tires to get better traction? I've found it becoming easier to spin the tires the colder it gets. Probably a combination of better power at the lower temps and less traction with colder tires.
BTW, I'm actually heading to your neck of the woods this coming Tuesday (Gainesville actually - that's about an hour from you right?). More than likely I'll be tied up the whole time in meetings and taking a customer out for dinner but if I free up at night are you going to be around? I'd love to be able to get together with you and see your ride in person.

I'm sure that some of the gain that I noticed was due to weather as the last time I ran the DA was about 1000' higher than last night. I'd expect between 15 and 25 RWHP gain with these mods, and the assumption on 1/4 mile gain was by no means scientific. But I did run at about 150* engine temps while last night I ran at around 196*. With these tires and at this track I found that nothing I did really helped, I think I just got lucky on my last two runs.
Yeah Gainesville is only about 1 hour away from my house and if you've got some time, I don't think I currently have any plans, if you want to swing by. Let me know, and I can PM you my address or we can try to figure something out.
I have to ask also, you did remember to press the ESP button? I know it's a dumb question, but I always forget to turn it off on a run or two - and it kills my 60's (makes them right around where you were).

Got the GSM ESP Mod which I turned off as soon as I got to the track, so I can't blame it on that :(

Oh. Then in that case, you're probably sittin' and spinnin' for a few tenths :)

Those times @ 196 coolant temp are great. If you get your engine temps back down to 150 or 160, you'll do even better.
Check your PM on Monday and I'll update you on my travel plans are then. It's a small chance that I'll be able to break free but we'll see...

WOW, that track must be slick... At Quaker City Raceway last weekend in my stock R/T my 60' times ranged between a high of 2.161 to a low of 2.066. My 1/8 miles times ranged: high of 9.254 to my best of 9.097. We did have a Long wait between runs so my oil temps were all in the 147 - 160 degree range.
I agree the Cont1's are definately a handicap at the track. Can't wait until they weat out and I'll get something better.
I'd definately try the other track. Congrat's on besting your times at that track.

I just updated my SuperChips with the data aquisition update and went out for a spin after setting 91 octane, Performance setting. I did a 0-60 and a 1/4 mile, only one run of each - was short on open stretches of road. My 0-60 run I felt like I got a good take off. I had the ESP off (button only - I undid my ESP mod). Didn't use paddle, left 'er in Drive - let the computer do the shifting. REV limiter was set at stock ~5800. I powerbraked the start, the moment my tires started to spin, ~3500, maybe ~4000 RPM, but wasn't really watching, I droped the brake. I went from idle to tires spinning pretty fast, wasn't nursing it, I wanted a sudden jump. It worked. Tires squeelled for about 1 second, did a little fishtail, then the tires gripped and the torque really kick in right after that. I left it in drive and went WOT. I've got the tuna boat mod, so it was loud as h*ll. There was a Mercedes SUV on the left of me at the light, I think I gave them a startle when my engine roared, tires squeelled, my backend did a little fishtail, and I took off like a maniac. I left the Mercedes in the dust (not a surprise, they didn't know it was a race :). My 1/4 mile run, I didn't get as good of a start, but was pleased with the stats for my first run.
0-60 5.44s
1/4 mile stats:
60' 2.27s, 30mph
330' 5.96s, 65mph
1/8mi 8.94, 84mph
1000ft 11.53, 94mph
1/4mi 13.73, 102mph
I can hardly wait to get out there and re-try these runs several more times to see what best run I can get is. Once I've done this, I'll bring it back to stock settings and go again. I update once I've done this, so all of you can see the difference between stock and Superchips 91 Octane Perfomance Mod is. Have to keep in mind I have a Mopar CAI also, this adds a little, not going to take it off anytime soon.

After reading this thread again, I'm realizing that my car is pretty fast! My 60' time stinks, but by 1/8 of a mile, I was caught up. I'm in Phoenix, it's 80 degrees, and my engine is running at 205. Come winter, I can go out on a 45-50 degree day, and try it on a cooler engine. In the meantime, I can practice getting a better start. If I get a better start, I may be seeing 13.2 or lower? Anybody get a <13 second run in theirs? Am I dreaming? Also, how do I cool my engine down now? Is the fan mod worth looking into, or am I just screwed in 80 degree weather?
