Are there any clear cut differences in performance of long tube headers vs. shortys? How about self installation of long vs. short?

For a few weeks now I have been saving my pennies to get the Mopar long tube headers but the sale at HHP on JBA shorty got me thinking.

My apologies if I'm asking this question again but I did a couple of searches that didn't turn up what I was looking for.

Thanks.

Most people seem to say to go with longtubes but I haven't seen anything close to definitive proof here for our cars. Keep in mind that the Mopar longtubes come with the midpipes with high flow cats. They are also ceramic coated. The JBA shorties come coated or uncoated and are just the headers. You'd still need to get midpipes with high flow cats from HHP.

Thanks.

I just saw the JBA or Mopar thread which covers quite a bit of what I was after.

I have got to do better searches from here on out.
